Sud

SUDS LOCK (Overdose of detergent detected during the wash cycle)

The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If “Sud” is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Potential Causes

A. If too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/ Spin cycle then a Normal cycle without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
B. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
C. Check Wire Harness connections to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
D. Check / Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects
E. Check Drain Pump
F. Check the Pressure Switch
G. Check CCU

Replace failed component.

My kenmore elite he3 comes on when i start it .a little water comes out than it strarts making a buzzing noise and wont stop unless i hit the pause button
DO you get a code on the from display of the machine? If it says F35 or SUD you have a water pressure sensor failure. You can but the sensor on ebay for about 54$ Its very easy in install also.

My kenmore washer showes sud code
If it is similar to the Whirlpool duet,

Try using less soap (hi eff machine)
try using more fabric softner
to clear the occasional Sud warning, I run the machine on "quick wash" with no detergent/additive. gives it two more quick spin cycles in 30-35 minutes, usually clears it.

My top loader Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer displays F 51 error ?? Any ideas and suggestions on how to fix this
F then 51 flashes when there is a motor rotor position sensor. Captain we have a problem? What is now Spock? More primal urges? Worse captain! Engines overheating. Spock can you pinpoint the source? Yes Captain: Abnormal activity within the wash water. What? Suds detected. Computer report. On board sensors have detected suds sir. They have made several attempts to clear up the situation by running extra rinse cycles!. As a result RPS has overheated causing engine failure. What will we do Spock? Capatin we need to See TEST #3, Page 10.

HI. this code represents a Long Drain issue.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

F35 & SuD error codes on Kenmore Elite Washer
F35 has to do with the pressure switch which is located under the top panel on the back right. It will have a little black hose hooked to it. This happens when SUDS or detergent somehow gets up into it and usually locks unit out. Only solution is to replace pressure switch. You can find the tech sheet behind the bottom front panel usually tape to the back side of that panel or taped to the bottom right side inside unit. Hope this helps

New Kenmore Elite Front Loader will not get past 'Sud' cycle,
Hello wheeljc; I had the same problem when I purchased my Kenmore Elite in 2006. I have a HE4t front load. It's possible that you're using to much detergent, if you're using HE liquid it only requires a small amount and does a very good job.

Spinning and draining does not work, F error or sometimes Sud
Sud means you using to much soap and the f code means soap is locking the drain pump up and wont allow unit to drain and spin.

Kenmore Elite HE3t- suds-
advance machine to drain/spin cyce to remove the water.if it doenst drain and just "humms". try removing the lower access panel. just behind it youll find the pump assy unscrew the face and empty the contents (probably lint, baby bock, assorted stuff from pockets)be prpared though the hose above is FILLED with water. Make sure your using HE detergent!!!!!!!!!!
