Question about HP OfficeJet 7140xi All-In-One InkJet Printer
All over the web the concensus seems to be disassembly and cleaning bulb, mirros and/or the glass and a calibration strip. Mine has the same error, and I'm gonna try the cleaning those locations. This forum mentioned a disassembly procedure for the D145, I hope it's the same for the 7100 series (7140XI) I'll post back my success.

I have seen posts from other sites about this particular HP printer (d145 Officejet All in one). The only solution seems to be taking the unit apart to "clean" the inside glass surface for the scanner. I've looked at one and can't seem to find an easy way to open it up to perform the cleaning. Maybe someone has an old one they have experimented with. HP will NOT help with this or service it for that matter.
