Hi, The error message your referring to is the fuser is to cold . You had stated that you changed rooms etc.. if that's the case more than likely the fuser has failed. I'm assuming that your not trying to use the printer inside of an igloo so more than likely the part has failed!! Good Luck I hope this helps!!!

Hi, You can buy a new fuser but your options are limited! It seems that for the price of the fuser to compared to buying a new machine. Also there have been many complaints about this issue. Maybe a flaw in the part? so I would consider a new purchase unless this printer is under warranty?

My MFC-7820n was printing perfectly and now, suddenly, all pages are very light and most toner doesn't seem to be fusing to the paper. The page 'sort of' prints but it's illegible. I have installed a new...

If the toner is not getting completely fused to the paper (i.e. you can rub it off with your fingers either completely or partially), then there is something wrong in the fuser section. The fuser is nothing more than two rolls pressed together with heat lamps inside (usually just one roll has a lamp). Perhaps a spring fell off? or the lamp is burned out.

Back door wont close

First Isolate whether it is the Side Door or their is a door on the rear make sure that isn't open.
What I would do is Physically open and re-close all doors again the tabs and sensor get sticky after awhile. If not you could have a BAD sensor door switch.

Problems with Brother MFC-7820N Laser Printer turns itself off

I just had same issue, it shared an outlet with a large volume work group copier, I unplugged it, opened and closed all compartments to make sure something open was not causing issues. I plugged it into different outlet and it appears to be back online. I have read some postings that this model has been known to draw over 15 amps. Its possible its starving for power. To test take to another room, plug in outlet by itself and see if it boots up.

Not able to send fax to an eFax number

I've had the same problem before. I don't know if it will solve your problem directly but I can offer a work around or two.

1. I have an efax number but with a company called , I fax stuff to other customers using callwave and my MFC 7820n completes each fax successfully. So if you can get yourself a callwave efax number you can fax to yourself and forward fax as an email to your intended party.

2. Or, you can use your mfc 7820n to scan your fax docs as a pdf directly to your computer and then emailing them to your intended party.

Unfortunately it might be a brother issue because at the office when I use the hp fax machine instead of the brother machine, the hp faxes to efax numbers without a problem.
