I want to buy a video card that can be plugged into this motherboard (Asus P5GL-MX-UAYZ). What video cards are compatible?
You can take it almost as granted that all video card fits. you have to select after if you are an ATI or NVIDIA fan,and that it is a PCI Express type of card. But as i have got of information you have an integrated VGA output (blue) and SPDIF Out (yellow) on you`r card. That should do for a data monitor(VGA) and to the regular television (SPDIF)
Hello,
Your MB takes a PCI Express x16 (max. 2GB/s, x4 mode) video card.
Please note the warning in your manual on Page 1-22 about using "Qualified" graphics cards. Here is a link to your manual:

If you are not getting video, have you tried to reinstall the VGA driver? Just a thought. You can get it by typing your model number into the search box on the Asus support site.(Just use P5GL-MX.)
