Removing the battery is useless if the AC adapter is still plugged in, unplug the power adapter then try fircing a shutdown by removing the battery. leave it a few minutes and try starting it again

Unplug the power cord, remove the battery pack, and leave it out for a minute or so. Reinsert the battery and turn the computer on. Does it boot normally now?

Computer was locked

Resetting the CMOS password on an Acer Aspire laptop is much more difficult than resetting the password on a desktop.
Disassembly steps vary from model to model, but on most models, you'll have to take apart the computer to access the CMOS battery.
Don't take apart the notebook if you don't have experience disassembling PCs.
After turning off the computer and disconnecting the AC adapter, take out the battery (different from the CMOS battery).
All visible screws must then be removed from the bottom of the notebook.
Remove all components stored to their separate compartments on the base of the notebook.
Turn over and open the PC. Lift up the switch cover and remove the screws securing the keyboard to the PC, if any are visible.
Remove the keyboard.
Remove the screws securing the monitor to the hinges, and then set the monitor aside.
Disconnect all visible cables connected to the motherboard; and then remove the screws from the top cover.
Remove the top cover to reveal the motherboard. Locate and then remove the CMOS battery. Leave it out of the notebook for 24 hours; then reinstall it and reassemble the Acer Aspire.
Other Options
If removing the CMOS battery fails to clear the password, or if you dont feel comfortable with the idea of opening your computer, you might be able to gain access to the computer using a backdoor password.
These special passwords were implemented to allow technicians to access locked computers. Not all models recognize backdoor passwords.
Most Acer Aspires use the Phoenix BIOS, and backdoor passwords for this BIOS include BIOS, CMOS, phoenix and PHOENIX.
All of these passwords are case-sensitive.

Forgot password to login welcome screen on acer one

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Click on one of these links to download HIREN'S BOOTCD :- http://www.hirensbootcd.net/ http://67.20.82.163/

My Acer froze yesterday. When i tried to turn it off, it wouldn't turn off. So I removed the battery. After I replaced the battery I couldn't turn it on. I checked the power supply and it is good. Do I...

If the power supply is working ok, the laptop should start without a battery in. It would be interesting to know what you were doing when it froze, but it does sound a little more serious. Its hard to tell exactly what without a peek at the laptop.

Please take a moment to rate my solution.
Thanks.

My mouse pad doesnt work and my login screen is froze

Hey,

This is a common fault in the acer aspire 5000 series.

Your keyboard and mouse are no longer functioning? Does usb keyboard work?

when you turn the computer on and it says on the corner of the screen to press f2 or this button to enter setup, are you able to enter setup?

If not, then you have a bigger problem on the laptop.

do you still have warranty on it?
