I just bought the gge910 wireless and cant get it to work so i called many tech lines untill i found someone that had thier number. 1-919-573-7854. im running with vista and they are going to email me updated drivers for it that they claim will resolve the problem. my issuse is that the edtior profile on the loadmanager flikers between buttons 1 and 8 so i cant assign keys to any other button. the other issue is that they told me that i will recieve it in 48 hr. i dont think that i will make a purchase with them again even if it does work. good luck.

Mouse does not work

Try rebooting computer and looking for updates.

If wired, try plugging into another USB port. Also try looking for driver updates for the mouse.

If wireless, try plugging the wireless receiver into another USB port. Also try updating the drivers. Checking the battery in the mouse may be another issue.

Wireless Network Security II

We browse the internet and have far fetching concerns of how secure our connection is, especially when its wireless. Here are a few pointers:

The security concerns with wireless network centre around :

Unauthorized access

The authentication component (pre-shared keys) of schemes such as WPA and WEP, as well as MAC address filtering, address the issue of restricting access to the wireless network to only authorized devices.

Encryption address the issue of protecting against eavesdropping on the wireless network traffic.

If you turn off WPA (or similar scheme), you are turning off an access control method as well as an encryption method. The wireless network traffic can then be easily eavesdropped on, and the MAC addresses and IP addresses of participating machines can be determined. These can then be spoofed, and the wireless network joined.

Turn back on WPA/WPA2.
Other way to prevent unauthorized network access are
1. Password-protect your wireless connection. Turn on WEP (wired equivalency privacy) or WPA (Wi-Fi protected access) on all of your devices, including your router, your media center. You may also set up a security key for your wireless network.
2. Place the wireless access point away from windows and near the center of your house to decrease the signal strength outside of the intended coverage area.
3. Keep all software current (including your Web browser) with automatic updates. Use firewall, antivirus, antispam, and antispyware software from a source that you trust and watch out for fake alerts for security software.

Dropping Wireless Connection

In some cases it is not always the signal strength as it is the updated drivers necessary to communicate with the computer system. Go to the manufactures web site and look for updates. Make certain your Windows updates are current also. If necessary, delete the Printer and reinstall it again. You may try to go to control panel/ devices. Pull up the Printer line and hit update drivers.

Wireless lan won't work on sony vaio vcg-rb43 after disk restore

Go to Windows Updates and see if there is an update their sometimes that happens with drivers. Start there Updates and install all the updates hardware updates as well. If that does not assist you there may be a fix at the Sony Vaio support drivers and download for your driver start there. I would download the driver online for the wireless software. Click Here to go to the driver site enter your model and info they request and download whatever you need from there. This should get you up and running again. I hope that this assisted you. Note download the Network anything that has to do with wireless Lan John

Wireless is not working

Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue might be due to the Wireless Network Driver or the settings.
However, please try performing the steps which I have mentioned below:
1) Verify the physical wireless switch is turned on. Refer to the user's manual for instructions 2) Reinstall the original wireless adapter driver. Uninstall the driver from device manager. 3) You may download the Wireless Network Driver from the manufacturer website. 4) If possible test, another computer on the wireless network. 5) If another computer is unsuccessful, contact the wireless router manufacturer or ISP to verify they are working properly. 6) Boot the computer into safe mode and test the wireless connection in the Internet Explorer browser. 7) If the connection works in safe mode, the issue is likely caused by anti-virus or anti-spyware software. Configure the software properly per the manufacturer's instructions. 8) Check the WAN IP address of the router as per the manufacturer's instructions. 9) If the router is not getting a WAN IP address, the issue is likely caused by a problem with ISP. 10) Reset the router and/or modem per the manufacturer's instructions. 11) If available, install a firmware update for the router and/or modem. Check the manufacturer's Web site for updates and instructions. 12) Check to determine if wireless interference is causing the issue. 13) Try adjusting settings on the WLAN router, such as the wireless channel frequency or cloning the MAC address.
Please try performing all the above mentioned steps. Performing the above steps should resolve the issue.
Hope this helps.
Please feel free to contact for further information and assistance.

Download AP Manager Software from D-Link Website. Connect the Access Point Through LAN and run the AP Manager Software. it will look for the devices and give you your current IP address of Access Point. Change it to whatever IP in the range of your system. In case you fail to get the software mail Good Luck Anirban
