Question about Dell Axim X30 Pocket PC
I just purchased a used x30 and in working with it I've discovered that after a few minutes of navigating around, the menus will start to rapidly scroll through their options and the PDA will stop responding to anything I do. For example, if I hit today's date on the calendar, it will bring up today but will then immediately scroll through subsequent dates (it only takes about a minute or so to get up to 2010...). Or if I hit the start menu, it will highlight one menu option after the other, top to bottom then back to the top.
The only way to get it to stop is to turn the power off, but eventually it happens again next time I use it. Is there a way to permanently fix this?
The Axim touch screen is extremely sensitive to the placement of the protecting plastic sheet. Check that the the plastic sheet is oriented correctly - the small bended corners must bend downwards. If that wasn't the problem then remove the protection sheet and pick gently directly on the screen with the stylus to see if you get a response. Most often this is due to a problem with the screen protecting plastic sheet.

I am running vista and havent had this problem, as a matter of fact if you have vista you no longer need activesync. Vista comes with a built in software application to sync you PDA, there si no logical solution i can think of that would cause this problem other than your computer may need to be updated, and also vista will update all the drivers for the dell x30 as well, just make sure it is able to do all updates, not just microsoft ones.
hope this works for you!
