Random Scrolling New Intuos3 tablet, only a few days old. I was using the mouse, and suddenly window contents start jumping up and down in little increments, like I'm pushing the scroll wheel back and forth. When I unplug the tablet, it stops.

I have that same problem and looks like the problem is common, maybe every Intuos and/or its software have this same error. I'd like to know what causes it so we can fix it. I need that scrolling strip, and disabling it cant be only solution to avoid that annoying random scrolling.

Disable the touch strips on both sides of the tablet, yes unfortunately you have to do that (actually, first thing i`d recommend to do when you set up your Intuos3)

Wacom intuos3 pen is not working

A few hours ago Wacom released a new driver 6.1.2-5 for the Windows 7/Vista/XP operating systems. I was having the same problem. Hopefully this will be a permanent fix!

When I place my mouse on the pad everything it touches opens and the menus vibrate wildly. If I use my pen everthing is stable. How do I fix?

i have the exact same problem! i thought my tablet was cracked, but when i got a new pen the problem went away! perhaps to solution lies with a new pen? though that might be costly... try rotating out the old nib for a new one.. i don't know for sure though :P I just know that the problem went away one day !

My Wacom Intuos3 tablet won't switch into pen mode

The winning answer came courtesy of Mr Benedikt Schmitt of Wacom Europe, who offered the following solution: from the Windows Device Manager, disable the “Wacom Virtual Hid Driver” device. (Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Device Manager, find the driver, right-click it and choose “Disable”.) One reboot later (welcome to Windows-land, circa 2008?), everything works as desired. Pressure and tilt sensitivity inside Photoshop still work, and the pen functions just fine in the rest of the Windows desktop. The absolute mapping makes it an absolute pleasure to point quickly and precisely. It makes my laser mouse feel rather clumsy navigating a large 24′ screen!

Wacom tablet won't recognize pen

Hmm. I've had a similar thing happen with my tablet. Have you tried removing the tablet pen from the list of tools in tablet preferences and then adding it to the list again before checking the 'About' section of the tablet pen set-up and clicking the 'diagnose' button there in? As that worked for me when my tablet pen was not working. The pen was recognized by the tablet after that.

My Wacom Intuos3 tablet won't switch into pen mode

I had the same problem with my Intuos3 on Vista. Tech support suggested the following.

Do this.....Go to Start--->control panel---->system(in classic view)---->device manager--->click on "human interface devices"--->then click on "Wacom virtual HID driver" and right click on that and disable it. Your computer will ask you to restart and you will want to do that.

Everything works fine now.

Initial Delay of tablet pen

I had a similar problem with Vista which made the pen/cursor freeze just as the tip was placed on the tablet face.
The problem turned out to be a Vista setting.
I went to Start > Control Panel > Pen and Input Devices.
Then in the Pen Options tab highlight the "Press and Hold" pen action and then press the "Settings..." button. In the dialog box that opens uncheck the "Enable press and hold for right-clicking" check box. Hit "OK".
Worked for me.

Scrolling problem?

Unplug usb, reinstall driver ,plug usb back. Or restart computer. I have the same annoying problem. It's the only solution i found.

It's nice having that kind of problem when clients are next to you, and you have to crawl under your desk to unplug the usb, and re-install everything. Makes it totally solvable.!

Hope they fix that problem with new drivers!!

Mouse jumping to bottom left corder randomly

What I'd try is go into the BIOS setup, and set your serial port for COM1 IRQ4 (Interupt) and 3F8H (address), if these latter notations are listed. Often, you will see the serial port, parallel port, etc. set to Auto. You may want to see if the PS2 port can be set to a specific Interupt and address also, just as long as the settings are not in use by another device. These kind of problems can be hard to pinpoint, but hopefully the above will solve your issue.
