Question about Sony KV-35S42 35" TV

Timer light blinking

I shut off my sony KV-35S42 and tried to turn it back on all I get is a flashing timer light I un plugged it and let it sit 2 min and still got the same thing

    I have the same problem. No picture but there is sound. Timer light keeps blinking. Any help highly appreciated. Thanks!

POWER SUPPLY PROBLEM.YOU MUST HAVE SOMEONE REPLACE TWO TRANSISTORS,VARISTOR,FUSIBLE RESISTOR,4 CAPACITORS & HORIZONTAL OUTPUT TRANSISTOR & RESOLDER PINS ON HORIZONTAL DRIVER TRANSFORMER.GOOD LUCK.4TUNE

Your vertical IC will need resoldering. If you can take this board out and inspect the pins under the vertical IC, you will see rings around the IC. This is a common problem for you model of TV. Hope this helps...show a few hands of support.

my best advice would be to check power supply for faults, bad capcitors etc to r/o the possiabilies of a power failure.

Sony WEGA Fails to Turn On Stand-by Timer Flashes 7 Times


IC/high power transister(s) and/or other componentshas gone bad gone bad - usually from a power surge. These will have to be replaced. A technician should check these out for you.

Tv wont turn on only clicks and then flashes red timer light


tv wont turn on when i hit power it makes the clicking noise like it is going to turn on, but never does and the red timer light next to the power button just flashes.

Usually, the CRT is bad......re-juvenation is a temporary fix at best........try adjusting screen control on CRT socket module.

Only other possibility is solder pins of vertical output IC.
