My monitor just went to a black screen and the green light on the front just blinks. I took it to Best Buy and they connected it to their power supply, but with the original cables, and it worked fine. Brought it home, hooked it up again, and it won't work again. I have an old monitor that I am using and I evem changed the plugs from the old monitor to the new one and it still won't work.

- I removed the VGA cord and plugged the old monitor into the tower and it works fine. I also switchted the VGA cords between the old and the new monitor and the new monitor still would not come on. However, if the grpahics or video card has gone bad, would they have been able to get it to come on at Best Buy?Solution #1

blinking light is a sign of no signal, try to remove the VGA cord (blue) from the system unit while the green light is blinking,there must have a display, cable disconnected or no signal. if it does, the monitor is okay and your VGA driver/graphics card has cause the problem. If you can try with known good monitor , it can confirm a problem. That helps....
