I have a Arris Modem and can not get on to the internet. The IT people at Bresnan took a look and found nothing wrong with the Arris. The modem is able to ping and says its online and ready to work, but three computers hooked up to the modem could not find the ip address. We tried the command prompt ipconfig/release.... ipconfig/renew, however it says "the requested operation requires elevation" I can also not get the Modem to ping from my lab top using the control prompt.
Do you have a cable connection kyle? i think you're using a vista operating system. Click on START, in start search bar type CMD then you'll see the command prompt as a search result. Right click and run as administrator. When you have command prompt, try to ping any website, for example www.yahoo.com. if you're able to ping yahoo that means your connected. If not do IPCONFIG, check your IP address and call your ISP, ask them if its a valid IP that they're giving out.

I get a busy signal when I pick up the phone. My telephone green light on the modem is constantly blinking and there is no light on the bottom battery ....I have no clue if that light is supposed to be on or not. I thought maybe someone called here and did not hang up their phone????. The only calls on my phone are from those pesky 800 scamming credit card creeps. Help!!
