Power button loose, will not work

I am trying to contact Samsung customer service but cannot get a phone #. I bought this product almost 1 yr ago and in May/June, the power button stopped is very loose.

any help is appreciated!

1-888-987-4357 will get you in to a live person eventually.
Online FAQ or phone support isn't likely to have a solution for you though.

If you can tell me which model samsung, you could send it to us to repair as we have many parts phones. To do it yourself, You would need a set of tiny tools,
probably a t4 and a t5 on your samsung. You would then carefully open it and check out the problem. If a major piece of the phone is broken it is no good without a different board, however if the button broke you would have a chance at replacing it for nothing. It is usually the main board unfortunately. Please post the model number?

Most large companies tend to like to keep their customers satisfied.
Fixya is intended to help people determine how to solve problems.
It seems to me that your problem is with a specific product, and since you bought it new, it would seem appropriate that you contact the CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT of the store where you bought the product.
You could also contact Proctor & Gamble directly, but I would suggest that you only do that if you do not get satisfaction from the store where you made your purchase.
One last suggestion, try to be as pleasant as possible when dealing with anyone involved. Record the dates, times, and nature of your requests and discussions. Service people get to listen to complaints all the time, and they usually react well to a pleasant discussion.

Bought $800 phone that stopped working after 1 year 4 months. no water damage to phone. no insurance on phone. can i get help from samsung to fix phone

It cannot hurt to contact them, they may be amenable to giving assistance. You could play on the expectation that the phone would prove durable when you bought it. For top end phones the warranty is how long?I would have thought 2 years.
Rather than going throu a retailer who will not be very sympathetic
and who will probably just stick to telling you the warranty is not in effect you could try contacting the manufacturer's technical department or customer services .

Sounds like the power button is pulled loose from the circuit board or the power switch went bad for some reason. You can't check this out as it is sealed to be waterproof and opening it violates the warranty. The only way to address this would be to send in to Lowrance Customer Service.

This should not be a common problem and should be covered by manufacturers warranty if still within the 1 yr warranty period. If out of warranty, Lowrance Customer Service should still be able to replace or repair it for some sort of cost.

To speak with US based Lowrance Customer Service, call toll-free at 1-800-324-1356, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:45 pm Central. Or email them at with problem, product model and serial number (located between the batteries in the battery compartment). CS On Hold times range between 0 and 4 minutes right now with Monday mornings being their busiest times.

You can also try a soft reset on your phone with the phone ON remove the battery wait 5 seconds put the battery back in the phone and turn it back on. Or you can do a wipe/hard reset

2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Press and release the Power button
4. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
5. Press and release the Power button

Trying to register 2 year service plan for dvd player, called the phone number it said to go to, now what do i do because it does not come up?

Had same problem, trying to register the 2 yr. service plan purchased at the same time I purchased the xbox 360. Called the 877-968-6391 service phone number, automated voice system gives you about 4 options to choose from. I did the option 1 trying to preregister the 2 yr. service plan, and it also indicated to go to the web site to register, but found no option to do so on the web site. Called back the same phone number, pressed option 3, then pressed option 4, was some how able to speak to a customer representative, who informed me that you don't have to preregister the 2 yr. service plan. She said you hang on to your receipt, your receipt should show the 2 yr. service plan number that you purchased, in the event that you have a problem with the product that you purchased, then you call the 800 service plan number shown on your receipt to get help for repairs on your purchased product. At least that's what I was told, and I hope that's the way it works, after you purchasing a service agreement for extra money!

I had the same problem. If you are in Australia, the Dimplex Customer Service number is 1300 6739 033. I phoned and they are mailing me the instructions. Maybe don't say you bought the machine at a garage sale.  
If you are not in Australia, try the way I did to get your local customer service number - Google the product number and go to the Dimplex website, and there should be a "Contact Us' button with a phone number or mailing address.

TRy to reset the phone
Try to take out the battery and do a power cycle
Try to release the flee power form the phone and check whether it works
How to release flee power
1. take out battery
2. when battery is out , press power on button for 30 secs
3. plug battery back in
4. press power on button to turn phone on
if still does not work
Contact ur phone service provider who u pay the bills for ur phone and check there is no network problem in ur area right now
if still not successfull
then take ur phone to samsung authoriZed service center
to get a list of service centers in ur area
