Power button loose, will not work

I am trying to contact Samsung customer service but cannot get a phone #. I bought this product almost 1 yr ago and in May/June, the power button stopped is very loose.

any help is appreciated!

1-888-987-4357 will get you in to a live person eventually.
Online FAQ or phone support isn't likely to have a solution for you though.

If you can tell me which model samsung, you could send it to us to repair as we have many parts phones. To do it yourself, You would need a set of tiny tools,
probably a t4 and a t5 on your samsung. You would then carefully open it and check out the problem. If a major piece of the phone is broken it is no good without a different board, however if the button broke you would have a chance at replacing it for nothing. It is usually the main board unfortunately. Please post the model number?

I locked my samsung freeform and i cant unlock it

To unlock a Metro Samsung Freeform cell phone the following steps can be taken.

• Code keying

The code to unlock most Metro Samsung phones is normally one of two codes. This can be entered by following these steps: Turn the phone on, enter this text exactly: #UNLOCKED#, Enter the code; this will either be 587846 or 000000. The phone should now be unlocked. If the phone is still locked there are a number of other options available to people.

• Take the phone to a cell phone shop

Many cell phone repairers will unlock most phones for a small fee, this is normally done when people decide that they want to change their network provider, and the phone will not work with different providers' SIM cards.

• Contact customer services

The final way to unlock the cell phone is to contact Samsung customer services. They can be contacted by dialing 1-888-987-4357, from Monday to Friday between 7am and 9pm, and on Saturdays between 9am and 6pm.

Before contacting the customer services, the customer should make a note of the IMEI number of the phone. This can be found under the battery of the phone, or by dialing *#06#. The IMEI number will be displayed on the screen of the phone. When calling the IMEI number will be asked for, and the customer service representative will ask a number of security questions to ensure that the person calling is the owner of the phone.

They will be able to unlock the phone once they have all this information.

The final step can be taken when trying to unlock a Metro PCS Freeform, as well as any other Samsung cell phones.
Unlock your phone and press "MENU". Then press the number "9" on your keyboard.
The press the "#" symbol on your keyboard. You should come to a screen saying "User Lock".
This is where you are going to enter the numbers "587846".
After you unlock that screen you will need to hit the "#" symbol one more time.
This will bring up another screen saying "User Lock", at this screen type the numbers "8886573982".
Once that screen is unlocked you have finally come to the menu where you choose the option to get into the phone parameters.
At this menu choose the option that says "USERPREFS Editor". (NOTE: After you choose that option PLEASE BE CAREFUL not to accidentally change a parameter, beacause you might mess your phone up royally.)
Ok, so after you've chosen that option you will see a screen saying "HIDDEN_MENUS:I" with a "1" underneath the writing.
If you see this then you are in the correct place!
Now this next instruction is rediculous but it has to be done.
Hit your up button until you come to the words "DUN_CABLE_ENABLE:I". (It is a far ways up so don't think that it's not there, just keep pressing the up button until you come to it!)
Under these words you will see a "1".
Delete the "1" and in place of it put a "0". (What this does is sets the phone operating system to enable DUN which is what we need to do in order to tether our phone.)
Now after you change the number you need to make sure you hit "Ok" which is the middle button.
Without hitting "Ok" then it will not save what you have just changed.
Now hit the end button and you are done with this part.

Samsung p2 won't turn on

the battery seem to be bad replace the unit.

I accidently left the mp418c-4 on charger all night and now wont turn on. i have the top power switch to on and still nothing.

1) Does your computer recognize the device when you plug it in?

2) I would try a good quality USB cable, the one supplied is kinda cheep.

3) It is possible that the internal battery or your wall charger have gone bad.

I have the same problem; it keeps saying HOLD on screen! Help

Try resetting the unit.

Push the
HOLD button in the direction of the arrow.

Press and hold
down both the User button and the Power button for several seconds and then attempt to power the U3 back on.

If resetting the unit won't help, the player would require service. Call Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864). Have your model number and serial number on hand to set up service.

Samsung p2 won't turn on

HEYY. okay. mine did the exact same thing but i took a toothpick and pressed the "reset" button on the back of the player. after i hit it once or twice, i tried turning it on and it worked.

Iriver Clix problem

yes i river has got customer support in online but i don t know how efficient it is if you had brought it from india , you better contact the vndor and ask for its warranty support man or else give a try connect the i river to another computer with windows xp (i prefer) and then install the software bundled up with your device and try to format the device via the software and then disconnect the device and power it on it will work i think

The same thing happened to me. I contacted Philips and they sent me this solution, which worked for me. Question My GoGear has no power/no display even connected to the power supply with the AC adapter. What should I do? Answer Do a soft reset by pressing and holding the Power On/OFF button and the volume + key for a couple of seconds. Then connect your GoGear to a power outlet with the AC Adapter to charge the player again for around 30 minutes. Try turning the unit back on and see if the display appears. If the display is able to come on again, keep the player connected for another 3-4 hours until it is fully charged before use, else contact our Customer Care Center for assistance.
