-   My Samsung PS42C7HD turns black to green on DVDs only. I have tried adjusting the colour, white balance etc. Is this to do with voltage on the sustain board?-   Guest
I had a very similar problem - the picture would get garbled, the black colour would turn into dark or bright blue tones, and i would get wiggly/jaggy outlines on the picture wherever contrasting coulours' edges met. After 2 service calls (replaced video boards both times), i gave up and popped the back cover on the TV. I wiggled a cable that connects the video board (it is on the top left quarter of the TV if you are looking straight at the front of it), and noticed that the picture improved right away.
I found that there is a bad solder on the cable connector, and simply keep the cover off now, as the connection will get flaky once in a while (especially in warmer temperatures).

I have a Plasma Pioneer PDP 428XD TV. I have recently purchased a Panasonic SC-BT200 surround sound system with blu ray DVD player and HDMI output. I have connected the audio from the Pioneer TV to the Panasonic surround system using digital optical audio cable however no sound from the TV/HD Set top box comes through the surround sound speakers on the TV itself. Also when playing DVD's the sound comes out of the surround sound speakers ok but not through the TV. I have read through the manual a number of times and tried different settings but still no success. The Panasonic is also connected to the TV by HDMI cable as well as the HD set top box which is connected directly to the TV via HDMI.Any ideas?
