Can the racks remain in the oven while in self cleaning mode on the GE Adora freestanding gas range? I don't have the user manuel.

If you do not take the racks out they will discolor and not slide in and out as well as before. Do not use the stove for any other purpose during the cleaning process. Oven temperatures reach over 900 degrees during cleaning. Open a window to vent out the fumes from cleaning.

If your racks were shiny, no. They have come out with porcelain coated racks that you can leave in, but that was just in the last couple of years.

Push and hold the Cancel/Off button for 10 seconds.
