Question about ViewSonic N2751W 27 in. LCD Television

1 Answer

Powering up and warmup problems

When power up the tv the power light will go green, from red, but nothing else will happen. I have to unplug it to turn it off. I will then power it up again the screen will show a picture but it will crack and pop and buzz LOUDLY! and streaks will shoot across the screen for a good 15 minutes and then it will finally work correctly. Sometimes I will have to unplug the TV 2 to 3 time before the picture will show and then all the other problems happen. As long as I have a blue screen while it is warming up I will not get the loud noises but will still get the streaks across the screen until warm.
If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it since it is out of warrantee!

I unplugged my N2751W LCD TV, moved it too another room. After powering on, the red light came on, but no signal. Unplugged the cord again and the red light came on for a few seconds. I took it too our local electronics repair shop and he said the main board was out. I purchased the TV 14 months ago. To replace the board, if it was available, would cost the price that I paid for the TV 14 months ago. I guess I am what you called, out of a 27-inch TV. My only hope will be that Viewsonic will make an exception to their warranty.

replace the sustainer boards should correct this problem. New sustainer boards may cause red and green pixilation. If this happen, replace control board and TV is as good as new.

AKAI 32" LCD HDTV WILL NOT TURN ON

The only solution at this point would be to get the power supply repair since new boards are not longer being manufactured. In about 95% of the time if the LCD doesn't power up or turns OFF by itself or need to be unplug for some time to make work again; those are the symptoms of a dying or defective power supply.
I service these power supplies, for more info write to jah2mil@hotmail.com

Olevia Kolin PT-501 LCOS TV Screen remains black and lights flutuate

I have the same TV and had the exact same problem. I had to replace the lamp and power supply in mine to get it to work. Unfortunately...its next to impossible to find the parts, at least the power supply. I found the lamp online and I was lucky to get the online store I purchased the TV from to send me a power supply from one of thier stocked models, but only after I turned them into the FTC Consumer Protection. The TV was sold to me as a closeout but new, as it turned out the tv was a refurb, thats the only way I could get the parts I needed.

Hope this helps and if you need any other information please let me know.
