Motorola razr got wet. has over 400 #s in it

Hubby dropped his cell in the loo. YUK! He got it out right away, took the battery out and waited to put it back in. Against my suggestions, he didn't wait long enough! Did the hair dryer(cool setting) and compressed air. All looked ok, but now the screen is blue w/ the Motorla sign and at the bottom it says something like" bootlegger something". The folks at Verizon didn't even try to get anything off of it, saying the couldn't. We have a new phone, but really would like to get the #sretrieved if at all possible. Any thoughts or tricks I could try????

I have a motorola v3xx cell phone that will not power on or charge. I charged the battery in a different phone, but it still would not power on. The phone has not been wet, nor been dropped. What is...

Sound like your phone is done for.
But try this first.
Remove the battery, remove the simm card. Wait 10 minutes.
I can assume the battery is good (as that's the #1 reasons for phone problems) Unless you can test the battery with a meter or use the battery in an identical phone don't assume its good.
Then replace the simm, put tha battery back in and give it a try.
Doesn't power up.?? Head on over to the phone store of your choice. Good luck.

Sim number track

When this phone was first programed it took a sim card , someone may of had it programmed with another carrier that didn't take sim card and maybe it got dropped, wet and when it came back on it went back to the old program. I would take it to your carrier and let them reprogram it. My sister had a razr v3c and it took a sd card for music, pictures and some v3c don't have a slot ,my v3c does'nt.I wouldn't take it apart because if there is no slot under the battery or on the side of the phone there is neither a slot for a sim or sd slot. They Don't put these inside the phone .

I wanna cry

Did it get wet or dropped hard? All hope is not lost. Take the battery and SIM out. Put the battery back in and try turning it on again. Once you get the message requiring a SIM, power back down and put it back in. Then try again.

If this does not work, and you can access the menus, a software reset would definitely be worth a shot.

No signal!

There is most likely corrosion from the water, or liquid on the mother board. It needs to be professionally cleaned if you want to have some functionality back. Best of Luck.

Phone won't turn on/charge

Kikimenor: Advise. If this is your 3rd RAZR V3, you must encourage Cingular (Now is the new AT&T) to replace your whole unit with another model. A friend of mine exchange his phone 4 times, until Cingular replace it. Motorola had too many problems with RAZR phones and that's why they launch quickly the SLVR L7. They still producing the RAZR, because users love the style and shape of the phone, but reality is that Motorola had several heavy issues with RAZR (Bluetooth, batt, microphone, etc.) If you're paying for an insurance on your unit, encourage them to replace it.
