Dana, hopefully your sim-card is activated from your carrier....or try going into the network settings and put the phone on the correct network.

How do I activate my new phone?

It's the same throughout all brands.... Remove battery cover or any cover holding sim card and/or SD card.
Locate the position the sim card is placed and insert it correctly. Do the same with the SD card if you have one. Put the device back together then switch on. The phone will check your sim card and connect to your network provider (if phone is unlocked to all networks) you will find out quick enough if the phone is locked to another provider, it won't work !
Assuming it pairs with your network, the on-screen instructions will tell you how to proceed, like any email accounts etc that you want synchronised with your device. It should automatically load your previous contacts and will install some updates automatically too.
These are generic instructions for the average type phone, read any manual you have carefully. but this is the general way..... good luck.
One more thing....make sure the device is charged.

My Samsung t589 won't read a SIM card how do I fix this?

A Sim card should work when installed. Make sure it's pushed in all they way. Put it in the phone then go to settings. Go to the "storage" option then it should show the Sim card option or phone option. Make sure you click the box for the Sim card option for the phone's main storage.

I had bought nokia E71 from nokia store and now after 1 odd month it has started showing sim card registration failed followed by insert sim card message on white screen...what could be the problem and i...

Sim card registration failure means that the card in the phone is not being recognized by the service provider as a valid or current account. The service provider is denying service based on the sim card that you are trying to use in your phone. If you have a current and valid account with your cell phone provider then you need to contact them to remedy the problem because something in the registration process has failed. They need to update and/or correct their records to link your account to the sim card in your phone so that your service will work.

Can I put a SIM card in G'zone Boulder ??? I mean is there a slot for a SIM card? Will the phone read it ??

SIM cards are a standard and thefore will fit into your cell phone.
If the cell phone is locked to a particular cell phone service provider, it will reject the SIM card that is not from their company, the cell phone needs to be unlocked from that company.

My phone reads, "SIM CRASH" on the home screen, what should I do? I have tried unlocking the phone but that doesn't work.

OK

Sim crashes means the sim card that was put in is programmed to another phone. Basically you need a virgin sim card then activate service for the phone with that puk code. Unlocked simply does not cut it these days anymore, because of theft the manufactures of the sims are interducing a new method to simply lock people out.

The fix. A new birgine sim card.

HELP! My new cellphone quadband won't read my AT&T SIM card!!!

It could be possible that the area you are in doesn't have a quadband signal. Under settings on your phone go to network settings or similar and try tri-band. Hope this helps!!

No service - sometimes service for short periods of time

If you have ATT that explains it all. If not, call your service provider. Sounds like you have a defective phone! Rip them a new one!
