Re: Printing fuzzy / bleed text with fuser saying needs...

Hi the blurring maybe down to the machine needing a color registration. Press the menu button then press either the up or down arrow to Maintenance press enter or # the using the up down keys again select color registration enter or # then print registration sheet once printed select M Y C or B and input the number that is on the printed sheet that corresponds to the straightest line. Once you have done this exit and try printing.

If that doesn't work then within the driver on the computer under printers and faxes right hand click on the printer select properties. Within properties you will be able to change the graphic mode please try this.

The fuser unit will need changing as they only have a life span there are no benefits to resetting as you will need to change it anyway. If you do not change the fuser then it will break leaving you with a bigger problem.

I do hope the above works for you.
Thanks J

Printing dirty

This is caused by one of 2 things. It is either the toner cartridge or the fuser film is going bad. Your printer may be printing fuzzy, blurry, or other faint text because of dirty print heads, so try to clean them, including roller.

We have a HP Color Laserjet 3600 printer. Printing a text, the right side is very pale. Printing pictures, they turn out unclear with strange colors. We have new cartridge

The laser unit on your machine may be dirty,

The first colour that normaly goes fuzzy is the red.

The problem may also be on your fuser unit,

Rub your finger over the printed area, and if the image gets smudged the fuser unit isnt fusing the toner proprly

Change cartridge printer selects for black

Simply cannot. The smaller cart is the dye black, which is used for picture printing. The larger is the pigment black which is used for text printing. You could try printing text as artwork, but i'm not sure this will work, besides, dye ink will bleed on regular paper and not look so crisp.

Black text Printing using Photo Black

You should be able to set the cartridge it uses when you print, as something like 'Print only black'. Fish around in the printer window when it comes up when it comes up. You may also be able to set this as a default in 'Properties' from the 'Printers' option in Windows, but then it will always try to do this, of course, which you may not want.

My printer only prints pictures, no text.

Sounds like your black pigment (PGBK-5) cartridge has clogged up the printhead or similar.

You could try running a single Deep clean on the that colour alone (use Right click printer > printing preferences > maintenance tab > Deep Cleaning)

If that doesn't work you will probably need to either:
- clean the printhead (see this thread)
- replace the printhead/cartridge

Hope that helps.

Hp 2420 vrtical line in page

This issue can be due to fuser. I am sure you have changed the toner cartridge.
To confirm its a fuser issue, please perform the following:
1. Try printing a configuration page from tray 1, pull the top cover, as soon as the media is 60-70% inside the printer.
This would stop the paper before reaching the fusing assy.
2. Remove the paper and check if the line exist.
If exists, fuser is not faulty.
If it does not, then transfer roller, laser/scanner assy is faulty

- If fuser is faulty, perform the cleaning page as following
1. go to configure device > print quality > create/process cleaning page
perform cleaning page 5-6 times, however, if the line is due to fuser, then fuser needs to be changed.

Let me know the next update.

Scan views fine; prints fuzzy

Try to change the dpi to the maximum, maybe 600 dpi. This will make the picture more defined.
