Problem for GE MiniCam Pro HO98656 Webcam
Same problem: Driver is downloaded, but Webcam won't work

I already downloaded the driver twice from the Jasco products site for my GE MiniCam Pro model number 98067. I plugged the camera in and the InstallWizard came up asking me for the software and then it can't find it so my Webcam doesn't work. We lost the CD-ROM when we moved. Any other ideas for how to get this to work?

- I downloaded the driver from the Jasco Products site and the file was called HO98067driver, if that helps. It was a .exe file. Then, I thought I was finished because I had clicked the finish button so I plugged in the webcam and the InstallWizard came up saying that it had found new hardware and it needed to download software for it. It searched for the software on my computer and finally said it couldn't find it. I couldn't point it to the driver I had downloaded for some reason. Hope that helps!Clarification Request

You say that when you plug the camera in the InstallWizard runs - do you mean the "found new hardware" wizard? The driver that you downloaded: is it a file that you double click to run (maybe a Setup.exe file) and it launches an install wizard? Or is it simply a driver information file? The reason I ask is because there are generally two ways of installing drivers: you either download something that has an install program of its own; or you download a driver information file and browse to in in the found new hardware wizard.
