SanDisk memory media problem

I purchased a SanDisk for my cell phone. I have put it in the phone. When I try to save a picture to it there is no choice to save to disk. What am I doing wrong?

Re: SanDisk memory media problem

It depends on what sort of phone you have, but you probably need to go to settings & select "save to SD card" or "save to external" in your camera/image settings.

Connect the media card to a computer using a USB card reader to back up the contents. Chances are the media will be readable from a computer. Once you've backed up the contents, save it to your hard drive and format the media card from your blackberry. Reinsert the card into the USB reader to restore your media files.

Put the SanDisk into your SideKick phone, and navigate through the menu-items to "format" the device, i.e., delete all pictures, and return to "factory-shipped" condition. Then, put it into your B.B., and repeat the "format" process, to be 100% "factory-setttings".

My K770i says to reformat but i do not wanna lose my pics

Cellphones have a nasty habit of being very picky about how their memory cards are formatted (especially verizon phones). You will need to plug it into a computer and remove everything off of it. Most multi-media card readers will accept this format of flash media. If you still wish to use it in your phone afterwards you'll have to let it format it.

google "VLC media player" and install their program - it is more tolerant of file types. WMP is very picky. BUT taht may not work either is it is a real weird format.
