Dishwasher, not working

Just bought the machine second hand although i was assured it is only 8 months old and working perfectly, i have plumbed it in fine and when you start the programme it does fill up and seems to be working for about 2 minutes and then it stops and two buttons continually flash, my manual has suggestions for different combinations of flashing buttons but nothing for these two buttons, Can anyone help as hotpoint charge £90 pound to come and rectify problems even though it is still under warranty. do you think i can get in touch with the people that sold it me?

I've got a Kelvinator dishwasher KD12MM bought second hand, the machine goes on but does not pump water. Please help

Possible that the pump has clogged or is jammed with dirt. you will need to remove the pump and clean the pump assembly for a good spray pressure. If this wont work then the pump is faulty and needs to be replaced.Check this link for tips:

White film and food particles on dishes

Did you check the incoming water quality, regarding hardness!

If your washing machine supports salt addition technique, fill the appropriate box and fill the salt that is meant for washing machines. Salt works as a softener.

Finally check your rinse aid also for it's fill in the dispenser meant for it

Water only heating after 1 and a half cycles, why?

It needs to be hooked up to the hot water. The machine will only raise the temperature about 20 degrees or so. has a video on the proper installation.

Look for the connection from the valve to the inlet of diswasher. Check the hot water valve to be on. It is probably closed when anyone working on the plumping. Good luck.

Here are the eco related error codes for your washer..
1)Light 3 (eco) flashes. Water is present in the flood catching tray at the bottom which usually indicates that there is a leak somewhere. More often than not this is just a pipe with a poor fitting and simply tightening the clip is enough to stop the leak. Our machine had a very slow leak from one pipe (not enough to trigger the alarm) which was fixed in this way. The leak is detected by a small float switch located in the flood catch tray.

Undo 4 screws on the metal plate under the dishwasher 3 at the front 1 at the back, this reveals The pump check the seals are in place on the waste pump.

2) Wash indicator lights 3 + 5 (eco + pre) flashing rapidly. Filter is clogged. Pull out the filter and clean it.
3)Runs for approx. 3 minutes and then stops. Lights 3 + 4 (eco and fast) flash. Probably caused by being plumbed into a hot rather than cold water supply. The incoming water is hotter than required for the wash which causes the machine to cut out. Plumbing the machine into a cold water supply will fix the problem with no apparent long term problems.
