Dishwasher, not working

Just bought the machine second hand although i was assured it is only 8 months old and working perfectly, i have plumbed it in fine and when you start the programme it does fill up and seems to be working for about 2 minutes and then it stops and two buttons continually flash, my manual has suggestions for different combinations of flashing buttons but nothing for these two buttons, Can anyone help as hotpoint charge £90 pound to come and rectify problems even though it is still under warranty. do you think i can get in touch with the people that sold it me?

The 2 buttons that are flashing are 4 and 6. when put on a quick wash only button 6 flashes. Button 4 is 40c fast and 6 is delicate 50c. When its put on a fast wash the cycle lasts a bit longer before button 6 flashes, however as mentioned previously all of the washes go for about 2 mins then those 2 buttons flash.

Hi , we have the same problem ,with a zanussi de6744, approx 4 years old , has been stored for about 18 months ,but working fully when removed ,ours runs for a few minutes then the programme button and the drying indicator button flashes continually , and it leaves water in the bottom , any help greatfully appreciated , thanks in anticipation , have checked pipes , and hoses , and cleaned out filters ( which were all okay anyway )

We have the same problem. The center "play" button and the right hand "lock" button flash a series of colors. The drawer can start and after a couple of minutes, it beeps that it is finished. There is still water in the drawer.

When you open the drawer. The lights on the cleaning choice panel are lit in the 1, 3, and 5 positions.

    Any ideas?

Water won't flow into the dishwasher

It depends how old your dishwasher i. If it is more than 18 months old and gets heavy use then grease and food debris can block the internal pipework. You can manually fill the dishwasher and use a dishwasher cleaning bottle that can be bought from most supermarkets. Run it on the hottest setting possible with nothing else in the dishwasher. Also remove all the filters and strainers from the bottom of the dishwasher and wash these by hand using hot soapy water. Do not put back into dishwasher until the cleaning cycle has finished.
This may work but if the pipes are too badly blocked then the dishwasher will need to be stripped and the pipes cleaned by hand

I've got a Kelvinator dishwasher KD12MM bought second hand, the machine goes on but does not pump water. Please help

Possible that the pump has clogged or is jammed with dirt. you will need to remove the pump and clean the pump assembly for a good spray pressure. If this wont work then the pump is faulty and needs to be replaced.Check this link for tips:

White film and food particles on dishes

Did you check the incoming water quality, regarding hardness!

If your washing machine supports salt addition technique, fill the appropriate box and fill the salt that is meant for washing machines. Salt works as a softener.

Finally check your rinse aid also for it's fill in the dispenser meant for it

Water only heating after 1 and a half cycles, why?

It needs to be hooked up to the hot water. The machine will only raise the temperature about 20 degrees or so. has a video on the proper installation.

Well, chum, windows XP is the operating system, not a specific program. Phil must have been a rather daft fellow to spread such tosh. I do believe what he meant to say was Windows Movie Maker. Right, hope that helps.
