Believe it or not...I repaired my Westinghouse LTV-32w6 HD TV. it had no picture and just sound. I took the back part off, I took the stand off, and then I took the metal plates surrounding the main board and back light inverter off. I inspected the backlight inverter, saw nothing bad, inspected the main board, saw nothing bad, inspected the power supply, and saw nothing bad. What I did notice was the flimsy aluminum foil tape that I guess is supposed to ground the metal chassis around the TV. I did not see any other means of grounding except this. In my opinion, this was poor grounding. I went ahead and took the main board off; at this point there are a lot of connectors you have to disconnect. The good thing about these connectors is that they are all unique so you really can’t connect them back the wrong way. So, I found another smaller metal plate on the back of the LCD. I took off the plate and I found that there was a board with the numbers “V320B1-C” on it. This board had four connectors at the top and 1 at the bottom. (yours might be different) I noticed that there was a burnt spot on the lower right side of the board. By the way, this board is called the LCD controller board. I thought to myself, if I replace this board, it can be fixed. I went on EBAY and found used boards for under $50. I even found out that these boards are also used buy 32” Poloroid LCD TV’s. Anyways I ordered the board, installed it, and BAM! The board exploded! It blew up at the same place the other board had the bunrt spot. Damn I lost about $45. OK, I was not about to quit yet. I should have done more inspections. I inspected the 4 connectors at the top of the board. It has 4 short flat cable strips. I noticed that two of them had very small burnt spots on them. So I took the LCD itself apart (many more screws to take off) and inspected the thin side boards and didn’t find anything bad. So I put the LCD back together and went ahead and ordered the same board on EBAY. This time, before you order the “V320B1-C” board, MAKE SURE YOU ASK THE SELLER IF THE 4 UPPER FLAT CABLE STRIPS COME WITH IT, IF NOT ASK HIM TO INCLUDED IT. It might cost a bit more but it would be worth it. If the seller doesn’t have the strips, then don’t get the board; keep looking. ALSO, COMPARE THE EBAY PICTURE OF THE BOARD WITH YOUR BOARD AND MAKE SURE THEY LOOK IDENTICAL. Some boards will have the same model but will look different. After you get the board and the flat cable strips, do a quick inspection on the board and cables to see if you notice any burnt spots. Install the cable strips and board, then put the metal plate on top of it. Connect all the wires back together to the main board, speakers etc. Put everything back together, EXCEPT the back part. Last thing, you will need wire strippers, and a piece of wire (about 2 foot, 18 awg stranded and insulated, like thin speaker wire). Remember the aluminum foil tape that supposedly acts like a ground, you will make a better ground. Look at the bottom left edge, the screw that holds down the metal chassis (any screw that touches metal), loosen the screw, get the piece of wire and strip the end to expose the wire. Wrap the wire around the screw and tighten the screw. Now run the cable up and around the edge of the LCD, skip two screws, loosen another screw that holds metal chassis, and cut the cable and strip to expose the wire and wrap the wire around the screw, but before you tighten, get a second piece of cable, strip it and wrap around the same screw, and tighten. Repeat this process until you reach the bottom center part of the LCD. Connect the power and cable to it and cross your fingers. I was so happy when I saw the WESTINGHOUSE logo come up on the screen

Google Westinghouse LTV-32W1 Original LCD TV Power Supply Unit

They no longer make this part, so you will have to find one that is salvaged. It is very simple to replace, just unscrew the piece and re-screw in the new one. Be careful though, the screws are tiny and if you lose them you are f*cked.

It works perfectly though! The power supplies on these units often go out within 3-4 years
