Question about Orion Televison & Video
my Orion, I do not know the precise type makes a screeching sound for a couple of seconds after which it goes into standby mode. When I try to select another channel to turn it on it makes the same sound again and goes into standby mode. Is this because I do not let it stay in standby mode enough?

The problem IS PROBABLY BEING CAUSED BY A SHORTED POWER REGULATOR (MX084 ) OR AN OPEN FUSEABLE RESISTOR IN THE POPWER SUPPLY...

the high voltage or flyback transformer is not working.the sound runs off a separate fixed power supply.if you run your hand across the screen,is there static?that would mean the high voltage is ok but there is another circuit fault
