Hobart Mixer H-600 motor problem

Does anyone know anything about this H600 Hobart mixer? My mixer has stop working when there is a load on the motor (when we make dough it stops) when if does spin there is a arching (sparks) coming from the motor. Is this something that can be fixed by getting the motor re-wind or is there a generic motor I can replace.

Re: Hobart Mixer H-600 motor problem

I am not aware of anyone in the united states that rewinds motors, unless they are very large, like 15 hp, big stuff like that. You didn't give any specification to where you are, so I cant suggest any place to try, but the motor or machine will have an ID on it.This will give you all the details of it. Go to your local supplier of things like this, Appliance parts, maybe a mechanical equipment place. Give them the info on the motor plate and they will be able to direct you the right way.

I have a Regency Trend Gas Wall oven. The Grill part is working but the oven part has stopped. My guess the gas element is blocked. Is there anyone in NZ that is able to repair or refurbish it?

as it is a gas appliance any accredited gas service person will be able to diagnose the problem and repair it
most problems with gas appliances can be attributed to blocked jets , faulty regulators or control units
find a retailer that sells gas appliances and ask who they recommend for the fitting and servicing of gas units

You either have something hitting the convection blower wheel or the bearings in the convection motor are shot.

Does a three phase doe mixer has 3 hot wires and no neutral or does it has a neutral

Hi Mario,
There is a neutral on all 3 phase situations, or there would be a short or no ground, so in answer, yes there is a neutral, which is usually the white or green wire.

We are having trouble with our Double Rack Oven, DRO2G gas. We have lost the rotation. The belt is fine. The telay kicks in when we push the start button but nothing turns. We did get some turning when...

Dave Olivia's Croutons
1 check to see if the fan on the back of the rotation motor is turining
if no then motor / fuses / contacts in the relay may be gone
2- is the shaft turning on the pulley side ( but not turning the pulley) if yes then key has come out of drive shaft
3- if the motor fan is turning and the shaft with the pulley on it is not then the gear (probably the bronze spur gear) is damaged
good luck

Switching phase on products are usually up to UL. You need a good tech and it can be done. If it is marked 3 phase and you make a single, the responsibility falls on the person that did the conversion. Components should be similar from 3 phase to single, just use OEM parts!
