I have an 1/2hp 6'' buffalo grinder. I need to replace the on/off switch. It has 4 wires what position do they go in?

- it is a 110 volt I do not know about the speed. The label does say single phase motor. There are 2 blck wires coming from the motor and 1 black and 1 red wire coming from the power cord. I got the grinder without a switch on it. I hope this is the info you need.
take a multimeter put it on ohms. test the switch to see which contacts correspond, then test the plug and 1 wire to find the two current wire. the next two are for the motor. connect according to the switch.
Need more info, please: Is this a 110 volt or 220 volt motor? Is it multiple speed or single speed, i.e., how many positions on the switch? What colors are the wires? Charlie

I was wondering if you had recommendations for a bench grinder for sharpening turning tools. I have heard that the Wolerine system is nice but what would you recommend for the grinder and with what wheels?
