It means your machine has identified an input - output error (I/O) probably receiving a corrupt data string or faulty communication port where it is connected to your computer or network. I/O ports are things like ethernet sockets, parallel ports, USB ports, and communications adapters of various types. I doubt someone is trying to fax you.
If the person who is sending the fax cant send in color, then you would not be able to receive the fax in color. Just make sure you choice the option to received the fax in color. Ask someone to send you a fax in color and just received in color.
for these companies, try disconnecting the phone tremporarily to see if thsi is interferring just with these particular faxes. Sometimes if a company's fax is set to phone/fax, it may be trying to call you first beacuse ths would be the default settings. If it detects no phone it may by default accept your fax no problems. Hope this helps.
If you are using the phone while trying to send or receive a fax, it will not work.
There were some devices out that would allow you to do this, but they never really worked that well.
If you want to be on the phone, and send or receive a fax, you will need a second line for the fax machine, or you need to use a service like eFax (it sends a fiax like sending email)
first check the printer by copying something, here u can see the problem that u r telling me,or check it by scanning something in ur computer,if u can see that problem, all u have to do is,open the top glass cover, under the top cover thers a scanning unit(lamp unit),in that scanning unit ther are some mirrors clean that mirrors with cotton bud, clean the top glass,n fix everything again, problem will be solved
