With the camera in the shooting mode:

1. Press the Func/Set button
2. Use the up or down arrows to select the Drive mode (normally a single square)
3. Use the left or right arrows to select the clock/10 icon (10 sec delay)
4. Press the Func/Set button again

To cancel, follow the same instructions but select the single shot mode (single square) at step 3

Testimonial: "Thank you so much for the quick response!!I grabbed my camera, followed your easy instructions, and VOILA!...10 second timed picture. Beautiful. "

I bought my camera 4 years ago but till now still i cannot get a picture of me in my canon power shot A410, the problem is i dont know the steps in setting timer to get me a picture. can you please teach...

Press the FUNC/SET button. Use the cursor keys to select Drive Mode. Use left/right to select the desired delay and press FUNC/SET. Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button.

Full details are in the "Using the Self-Timer" section of the advanced guide. (page 35 in my copy). If you need any of the manuals, you can download them from the manufacturer's web site at

I'm getting memory card locked error using a 8GB SDHC card in my Canon A410 camera. The slider is NOT set to locked

The A410 works with MMC and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use cards 2GB and smaller.

I need help with setting the self timer on the Olympus Camedia c-700 camera. Can't figure how to do it with the menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

the self timer usually works like this.
find the self timer setting and set it to 5 or 10 seconds.
then exit the menu and click the button that you normally press to take photo. the self timer will start automatically and the picture will be taken after 5 or 10 seconds (depending on what you set).
note that the self timer will be reset to off after this.

Digital Camera CANON PowerShot A410-No VOICE Record

I'm sorry to tell you, but the PowerShot A410 model does not have a microphone to record voice. Of all the A400 models, only the A410 and A420 were made this way. For some unknown reason, Canon decided to not include micorphones wiith these two cameras, thus they can only record video, but no voice.

How do I use and/or set the timer on the Power Shot A530

In the shooting mode, press the Func/Set button. Scroll down the icons to the 'drive mode' icon (a square). Then scroll right to the icon showing a circled 2 (2 second delay) or a circled 10 (10 second delay). Press the Func/Set button to select.

To return to normal, use the same procedure, but select the square icon (single shot).

How do I use 360' lens on my Canon G9?

The C1 & C2 settings are for "Custom" settings. You'll most likely want to set your camera either to "P" or "Auto" mode.
To have it delay for 10 seconds and take 3 shots, press the "Menu" button and then scroll down to "Drive Settings". Then, choose the following settings:
Self-Timer: "C" Delay: 10 sec. Shots: 3 shots
Then, press the "Func./Set" key to lock in the change. Next, press the custom timer button on the back of the camera and then choose the "C" timer using the directional keys. Then, press teh "Func.Set" button.
Lastly, set up your camera, press the shutter release, and the timer light should start blinking. 10 seconds later, the camera will take 3 photos in succession.
Hope this helps!
