Question about HP PSC 2210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP PSC 2210 all-in-one

I had a bad paper jam, which I pulled out of the printer. I turned off the printer before I reached in to pull it out. Now it has no power at all. I've checked the power cord to make sure it's plugged up good. The computer has power that's in the same place. Any idea why the printer is now DEAD?

Go through and be sure every drawer and cover is closed properly.
Sometimes its that simple that one of those cover switches is not quite making contact.

HP PSC 2210 has the error message 'Open Door, Clear Carriage Jam, and then Press Enter'. No paper jams present?

Check door for paper stuck in front of sensor. There is a door in the back look to see if paper shred is in there infront of the back door sensor.

HP psc 2210 printer has consistent paper jam. Screen reads: paper jam. Checked all obvious things and followed recommended steps to solve paper jams. No problems found but still won't print.

Please work through this article first. If that doesn' t work follow these instructions to do a partial reset., or use these instructions to try cleaning the rollers and make sure they move freely.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Paper jam with out paper

This is almost certainly a broken latch on the right of the carriage - it should get pushed forward by the left back edge of the cartridge mechanism as it reaches the right side. There are other examples of this described in many similar posts on various sites - including some with photos. Try and find another psc all-in-one and look at it. I have the same problem, and have 'mended' the latch so that the paper error disappears and it prints, but I have not yet solved the loud clicking

But it's NOT out of paper!

Try loading only using a few sheets of paper. When you start up the print cycle you should hear the printer begian to make noise. Than it should pull a single sheet in. If you hear nothing. It may be bad.
