To properly install your GE Model number 326B1036P001 slide-in range, you must determine the type of electrical connection you will be using and follow the instructions provided for it. Generally, a 40A circuit is acceptable. However, if you add or need to use a 50 amp circuit, you must ensure that the wiring and breaker size is sufficient with no breaker issues. To determine if the thermal fuse has blown, you can use a multimeter to test it.

It needs to come out as there is almost certainly fixings from below. Screws on the burners, only hold the burner rings down.

The installation manual doesn't say how the top comes off, just how to install. No Service Manual for it.

I understand that you are searching for a filler piece to go between your Electrolux range and countertop. I was unable to locate any type of filler piece I see the manufacture has a side trim kit, rear filler panel, and backguard kit but nothing specific to your request. Actually if you've removed the 2 or 3 screws at the front (underside) of the cooktop, you can lift up the front. Prop it up with a board, and then remove the 4 screws that hold the 2 brackets that hold the 4 elements to the cooktop. Now pull the cooktop forward a bit, and you should see a green ground wire attached to the back of the cooktop. If not, then don't worry about it! Just pull that cooktop up and off the range. You will need to transfer the 2 tabs in the back of the cooktop, and the silver steel bar located at the front of the top to the new cooktop. Then reverse the process to install the new cooktop and re-fasten the elements to it.

does the pilot light work and when you turn it up the flame should torn up if not the thermo cupler is faulty

The 30" is the widest you can get. I suggest getting a piece of stainless steel and having a metal shop cut and smooth the edges

I would highly suggest using the filler strip or do not use the oven in self-cleaning mode. You may be able to get the one previously used with the oven if there was one.
