Uniden UCIS235 - deluxe two line phone won't end call

Hello,
I just purchased the phone above. I'm using my first line with my home line (regular touchtone line) and the second line with my business line (centrex). For some reason, one line is constantly staying active (red light is on and the counter is going) and I can't end the call. No one can call me because the call is going directly to vm.

I also can't use any of the menu options because it's constantly clocking. Can you help?

Have Uniden EX14560 and do not know how to turn ringer back on..can you help me?

Do you mean the Uniden EXI4560 2.4 GHz phone? With the handset in standby, press the volume up button (above End and just below the LCD screen). Then you will be able to toggle between the 5 available ring tones and volume levels. (I'm assuming the unit is set to Ringer Off which is another choice in the list.) Press End to confirm and save your ring volume setting.

Most Uniden manuals are available from Uniden on the product page or the support page. The product page is http://www.uniden.com/cordless-phones/24-ghz-extended-range-cordless-technology/invt/exi4560g/ . Then go to the Manuals tab. The direct link to the EXI4560 manual is http://www.uniden.com/content/ebiz/uniden/resources/ownersmanuals/EXI4560om.pdf .

All of the Uniden manuals are here: http://www.uniden.com/scat/cordlessphones_mnl . Use the drop down menu to select the type of phone and then find it in the list by numerical and alphabetical order. The EXI4560 is on page 4 under cordless phones.

I hope this helps.

Hi my phone says E8 on the screen whats wrong?

Hello, Ken.

From Uniden:

If there is an error code with an E followed by a number or "88" displays/flashes it would be an internal issue in the base unit. The unit would need repair.

Uniden does offer a limited 1 year warranty off the proof of purchase. The proof of purchase is required for warranty service. Uniden phones that are purchased in the US or Canada are only made for use in the US or Canada. Using this phone in other countries will void the warranty and also may damage the unit due to the differences in electrical standards. Also the unit may not work as specified.

Hope this helps.

I have a Uniden dect6.0 cordless phone, when I plug it into my phone jack ,the screen reads check phone line. So we have replaced the phone line with another brand new cord.Same thing. Can not get a dial...

When the "check phone line" message appears, it is referring to telephone service and not the wire. It appears that your phone jack is "dead" or that there is no working service in the home. Do you have another phone that you can use to check the jack? Is there another jack that you can plug the phone into for a test?

How do you turn ringer on and off on a uniden exi8560 cordless 5.8ghz

hello. To turn the ringer off on that phone you need to get into the menu. The way you get into the menu is press and hold the menu/cid button for 2 seconds. Then press the arrow down button until you highlight the ringer volume. once the ringer volume is highlighted, press the select/channel button. that will rotate you through the 3 available volume levels. High, low and off. as you are pressing the select/channel button the handset sounds a sample of the volume level. when you hear the volume level you want simply press end and that will store your volume to the off position. to turn it back on, just repeat the above steps but select the proper volume level you want and then hit end. I hope this helps.. Don;t forget to rate me. thanks !

Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing 17 Deluxe Does not start

Hello,

Assuming you have not switched to Windows Vista with the new hardrive - as Mavis Beacon 17 does not work in that platform - then-
it sounds as though the file is corrupted. I would uninstall and reinstall the product. Unfortunately, difficult to do with out a cd or good original disk to start from. If you have your order number or purchase numbers when you bought your download, then customer support should help you get a clean download.

Here is some information on system configuration- it is similar for the setup of Mavis beacon 17

Caller ID doesn't display and phone rings 1 time then stops

The Uniden TRU9XXX series has a high level of handset compatibility between bases. Depending on the handsets you bought to go with your 9480, you may be able to buy another model in the series and use the old handsets with the new model. Alternatively, you could buy another 9480 here (the -2 on the end of your model number just means that it came with an extra handset).

Before you do that, though, it might pay to hook up a regular (corded) caller ID-enabled phone to the line and see what happens there when you call. If it works properly, go buy your new phone. However, if you see the same behavior there as with the Uniden, chances are that the problem is not with the phones. Possible other causes could include a fax machine, modem, or other device in-line with the phone; a defective piece of equipment hooked up elsewhere in your house; etc. If nothing obvious applies, you might want to give the phone company another call--just because they couldn't find a problem on their end doesn't mean one doesn't exist.
