Re: Ink problem

This is the same response i did for the other solution. each cartridge has on optical window the sensor uses to detect the ink level. what u do is put a piece of paper over the window and the sensor thinks the cartridge is full. this will get rid of the low ink level problem and allow u to print in black only.

Re: Ink problem

First, are you using a genuine cartridge? If not, Brother is very finicky. Get one. Second, uninstall the print driver and reinstall with the latest from the Brother site.

What do I do when the message 'Ink cartridges not recognized' comes up when replacing with 'compatible' ink cartrridges?

It sounds like you replaced it with a heavier cartridge. Usually you just turn it off then back on if you're using the XL cartridges and it will accept it then, but it won't register how much ink is in the cartridge.

Have inserted new ink cartridges but printer is only printing in yellow and black. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

Hello stan check to see if the ink cartridge is properly placed on the cradle, OR you may need to clean the cartridge ink holder, it has dried ink on it. OR run the printer test.

Missing black ink cartridge

Unplug the printer from the wall. Also remove the power brick for 60 seconds. This will reset any error messages you get from the printer. Plug everything back in and power on the printer. Take out the Dell black cartridge and reseat it. Put it back in and do the same for the color cartridge. When you close the printer it should try to print an alignment page.

No cartridge the printer say. i put new cartridge in

It mean that the black cartridge is not recognised. It the black cart is original or compatible? Some printer won't recognise cartridge, if the black and colour is not same type. Try to install the black only. Is it recognised?

Ink cartrridge

its very siple.lift the front cover of the printer.then insert the cartyridges in the printer a carriage will automatically come into the position where you can insert the cartridge.just keep the printer ON.AND LIFT THE COVER.ALSO where black is inserted there it will be written B.and where colour is inserted there it will be written the circuit of the cartridge should nmatch the circuit in the printer.and slowly push the cartridge in the cartridge holder the when it gets fitted you will hear a noise click.

My HP1310 all in one fails to recognise the color ink cartridge. It says insert ink cartridge. We havwetried reinserting the ctg turning it onn and off , puulling the power plug etc. All get the same...

I am assuming you are using hp 27 and hp 28 ink cartrridges.
Try this:
1. use a eraser, and erased the circuit at the back of the cartridge. (Clean the oxidation of the circuit -- retry). Note that circuit on these cartridges can go bad.
2. If 1 does not work., try another cartridge that you know is good and if still fail you have a printer problem

Most probably you have a bad cartridge.

HP Photosmart D7360

HP support decided it could not be repaired on line, agreed to replace it but found it was a few days out of it is dead in the water. Probably not cost effective to repair it.

Printing photos

its ok I solved it! I didn't realise that all the photo cartridge does is gloss over the colour picture produced by the colour cartridge. I simply had to replace the colour cartridge which had run out, so now its all working perfectly!!
