You need to reset the CD player. Remove the front panel and you will see a tiny hole in the middle of the panel of the unit mounted in the dash (i.e. without front panel). Gently push a ball point pen or pin in to press the reset switch.

Multi media car stereo

If you have a vehicle that can fit a 'double-din' sized radio, I would suggest the Pioneer AVH-P4000...$500 without the extras. Easy to add an i-pod cable, has back-up video hookup. Also bluetooth ready as has capability for satellite, hd radio, and tv tuner if you ever wanted to add them.

Problem no sound

If your KENWOOD unit is experiencing audio problems (NO Audio), but do have audio when TUNER is selected as the source, you may have problems with your installation.

NOTE: If using an external amplifier or the unit was installed using a separately purchased wiring harness for your specific vehicle, please check the following

If Using an External Amplifier

The P.CONT or REMOTE terminal on the external amplifier requires a “turn on” signal from the stereo. This terminal should be connected to the BLUE/WHITE P.CONT wire on the Kenwood harness and not the solid BLUE ANT.CONT wire.

If Using a Vehicle Specific Harness
The vehicle has a factory installed amplifier and requires a “turn on” signal from the stereo. Make sure that the BLUE/WHITE P.CONT wire is connected to the vehicle specific harness and NOT the sold BLUE ANT.CONT wire.

The solid BLUE ANT. CONT wire is used to trigger a power antenna ONLY when the tuner is selected as the source. Using this wire to “turn on” an external amplifier or factory installed amplifier will only allow it to work when TUNER is selected. Please refer to your instruction manual for proper installation. If you are not completely comfortable with installing the unit yourself, we recommend that you seek assistance from a professional installer.

ACC line error

Your stereo is trying to pull more juice then your electrical system wants to dedicate to the accessory line. Thats why Pioneer provides a secondary source wire that is attached to the inline fuse. Mkae sure that the fuse is no more than 10A as the larger fuse will provide too much resistance. Another problem that could be happening is that many auto manufacturers(foreign especially) have gone with lower voltage wiring harnesses. Use a multi-meter and make sure that you are getting a minimum of 12-14volts constant with key in the on position. If voltage is reading 9-10 volts which is common in some model cars, you may have to upgrade your system or just live with 3/4 volume. Good luck guys.

My Cd and iPod doesn't have sound

Alright I fixed it. My stock Jeep stereo had a speaker amp that was wired in with the power ANT, the kenwood would turn the power ANT off when using other medias. So I had to hook up the BLUE power ANT wire up to the RED IGN wire so that when the car was on both the ANT and AMP would be on when the car was on. There are other ways of hooking this up I could have hooked the ANT wire up to the AMP wire coming out of the Kenwood so that the AMP and ANT would've only been on when the radio was on, but I'm happy with the way this turned out.
