Could possibly be the convergence chips are bad.
Hold input and menu buttons on the TV to see the blinking error code. Two blinks followed by three blinks is a short error, and could be the convergence chips. If either fuse F9A04 or F9A05 on the main board is open, it's the chips.

- I don't have that particular service manual, but the error codes may be as shown:
Error Code Probable Cause
12 Normal Operation - No Error Detected
21 X-Ray Protect
22 Short Protect
23 Loss of Horizontal Deflection
24 Loss of Vertical Deflection
an error code of 22 is a short condition.
I'd guess the convergence amps are bad.
Sorry, I thought 23 was the short condition error rather than 22.

- I would check the convergence amp fuses after getting a 22 error code.

Error Code Probable Cause 12 No error detected The green light blinks once then twice meaning I have no errors. So why won't my WS 55511 TV come on?

I have a 2004 Mitsubishi HD1080 Series 60'' widescreen, model WS-65315. I purchased a new Insignia surrond sound amp, mode lNS-R5101HP.I cant get the menu, for the amp,to show up on the tv. I am using HDMI cables, with an adapter for the DVI on the tv. I also have connected a Dish Network sattelite recvr and a PS3 wich both showed a picture thru the rcvr to the TV, but no sound.
