Why wont it turn on

Most common problems with modern LCD computer monitors and LCD,LED tvs are it power supply boards have dead and dying capacitors components parts on the power supply boards. That the board u alway check it first and throughtly for dying and dead capacitors components parts. That the board where the tvs or monitors A/C power cord plug in it.U have all the basic tools also u can do soldering works and understanding basic electronic components.U should by replacing these dying and dead capacitors components with no problems at all.But when u are replacing all these dying and dead capacitors components parts that are bulging up and busting out of it normal cylinders bodies.Replacing these new capacitors components parts alway up the voltages higher in these new capacitors components parts like 5 or 10 voltages higher will stably the power supply board alot better and don't put out to much heat for the capacitors chemicals make up to handle. If u can not do basic soldering works and have all the tools or understanding basic electronic components theories.Tries websites like, to buy a whole new refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I have a Acer V193W Computer Monitor. When I turn it on I get a white screen then it goes black for like two seconds then comes back on with a white screen and stays on that way. What could the problem be?

The LCD panel is not getting the 5/12vdc from the logic board or the fuse on T-CON board is blown or bad T-CON board, it can also be due to bad 5VDC power supply caps in the power supply and in the logic board.
Please read my guide and look at the pictures at my photobucket.

My hp monitor is totally black it was working last night. i tried to unplug and replug it in and it came on for a few seconds then went black again

A lot of time people have the impression that the monitor is not working when in fact the computer is not booting its lighting up but nothing else so its stays on a black screen.

One way to know is by opening your speakers or plugging head phones, if you hear windows open or any windows sound the problem is the screen.

You can also unplug the screen from the pc and turn the screen on most of the time the screen while show a disconnected warning on the screen if that comes up the computer is defective.

Syncmaster 226BW - screen started flickering this morning - now what?

Well, it may have dying power supply due to bad caps and it will more likely to go completely dead soon.
Please read my guide so you can decide if you will want to DIY repair or not.

Screen goes black after 2 seconds

This could be one of two problems, the light in your monitor has a loose cable, or the light is dying. I have seen cold cathode lights that are about 10-15$ to buy and many instructions on putting them in yourself.

Solution 2, your cable is loose on the back of the monitor. Make sure you have the screws tightened on either side of the vga or dvi cable, both on the back of your monitor and on the back of your computer or laptop.

Sylvania (proview) cl2072b flat panel monitor

Well the first and second paragraphs make me say the Inverter/power board must be replaced.

A white display typically means either your display cable (in your monitor) is loose or logic board is dead.

Either one of these things typically mean take it in for an estimate to repair, and if it's too much, buy a new one.
With your luck I think I might switch to big cheap CRT.

Monitor blacking out intermittently

Monitor going black after a few seconds can be causd by a faulty power supply or inverter. Some monitors have both as one unit.
Sometimes it is basic failed capacitors, After that then I would look at transistors.
The average monitor from 17 to 20 and sometimes the 22s have usually 4 bulbs in them. One bad bulb will also cause the inverter to not fire up.
Bad bulbs usually show pinkish tint, or flickering or are dark at center top or bottom of the display.
