Zen 6Gig Micro gone completely dead

The Zen Micro 6Gig was working perfectly then suddenly it wouldnt power up at all either when plugged in via usb to laptop or under its own battery power. The battery is ok as its been checked with another identical machine. We have tried taking out battery then replacing it and trying to power up again but no success. We have also tried powering it via usb with and without battery in. It is no longer under guarantee and Zen say they cant help as its out of porduction. Can antone Help?

This zen micro can only be charged by usb from computer. It has no AC charger or a socket for one, unless there is an AC charger with a similar plug at the end that goes into the Zen as the lead that comes from the computer (which is like a "mini" usb plug?socket). Zen hasnt come on so far by taking battery out and plugging into laptop and pulling plug in and out several times at the Zen end.

Take battery out, this works best if you have an ac charger,
but turn the on/off switch to on and plug the unit in keep plugging it in and out till it turns on this may only work for ac chargers.

Creative zen v problems-frozen

If a reset does not work using the reset hole, then try this: First, back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and disconnect it from the computer. Then press and hold the play/puse button and turn it on simultaneously. The player should be in recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format. Then reload all of music back onto your player and it should work like new. Hope this helps!

Zen V Plus not charging and not recognized by windows

Turn off CPU, Unplug Power cable, And all usb devices, let it sit for about 20mins. Plug it all back in. Turn on the CPU! Also make sure if your device requires "DRIVERS" or if you have a CD download and install that before anything.

Zen Touch

Plug the Zen into a self powered USB hub that is not connected to a PC and leave overnight. You may also use other devices such as a printer USB port etc.

It recharges very slowly over USB but it will recharge.

Creative Zen Micro not working at all

Try disconnecting it and then reconnect it back to your pc, it happened to me once and then it was completely dead, nothing happened after it failed to install.

Then I waited the next day and I was about to return it, and I thought that maybe it would work if I connect it and reconnect it back and yeah it worked. it installed successfully.

Let's hope that it will work everytime I connect it from now on, if not I'll probably return it. 'cause I just bought yesterday.

Dead Creative Zen M

Usually this problem is due to the firmware. When the firmware is updated to version 1.62.02, this problem usually will be corrected. The older firmwares have problems in recognizing the battery and allowing the battery to power the unit.

You will need a wall/AC charger for the operation. Plug in the wall charger and USB cable at the same time. Your Zen should power on when connected to direct AC power via the wall charger. Once it is powered on, connect the USB cable to your computer. Then begin the firmware download.

If your Zen does not power on when connected to the wall charger, your unit is dead and its time to replace it or get the motherboard replaced via one of the Repair services offered on this website.

If the upgrade button on the firmware window is not available, it is also time to replace your motherboard due to corruption of a chip on the board.

Creative zen v problems-frozen

I Recently bought a Zen, and it works great. The only problem I found was that it freezes itself from time to time, and the best solution to this problem is on the bottom of your Zen, there is a very small Reset hole. With a needle or a toothpick, gently stick it in, and push lightly. This will allow the Zen to unfreeze, and return back into it's regular mode. All your files will be saved, and kept on to the Zen, so you don't need to worry about losing any of your files.

Any additional help, I'll be glad to answer!
