- Thx for the reply. Bt the auto UMD start nd auto USB detection modes would be disabled. When i was updating the firmware previously, it has asked me to disable all these auto start options! So will it work if I try using UMD? also i have searched the media go s/w in net and got the free download link. Kindly chk out the link nd lemme know whether am right or wrong

psp firmware is corrupted, you be need to continue thats update.. 1. update via UMD, the umd that are use must have same firmware version or higher (5.03). check it in other psp. make sure you have a fully battery, then turn on psp.
2. update using sony media go, it a pc client for sony device.. connect psp to pc via usb cable, you will need a internet connection on pc. and it will update to the latest version - 5.51.
hope this help..
