Question about Fuji Zoom Date 60 35mm Point and Shoot Camera

1 Answer

Shutter The shutter will not completely close, causing the camera to stay on and flash the number. It has film in it and I would like to be able to rewind it, I have changed the batteries and the lense will not close when I shut off the camera. It goes off for a second and than comes right back on and flashes the exposure number.

Re: shutter

Sounds like the lil motor that is in charge of opening and closeing the shutter might have shorted out causing it to stick, or it could have just simply burnt out or striped the lil gears on the motor. If the shutter moves alil bit i would say you probably have a short in the shutter motor.

How do you open the film compartment

Film releases are on the sides, or bottoms of cameras. Make sure the film is fully rewinded before you open it (or open it in pitch black, and manually rewind the film into the canister).

How do I set the mode

Sorry, but there are no modes on the Kodak Cameo Focus Free 35mm. It's exactly what it is, a very basic 35mm point and shoot model. Even the shutter speed and aperture are fixed according to the film speed selected. Other than the provision of the flip up flash (turned on by using the flash switch and off by using the same switch or by closing the flash) your camera is absolutely as simple as it gets.

Perhaps if you explain exactly what you're trying to do with your camera I can provide further assistance, or perhaps you have a different make and model altogether?

Camera does not rewind after end of film it spins, but does not engage the film. Joe M.

it is likely that this model of camera spins the entire roll onto the take-up spool, and then slowly rewinds one frame at a time until the last picture is taken. Then it has already almost rewound,

This shows up when you load the film. The cameras digital counter counts up to the number of pictures available, and counts downward each picture taken.

How do i use the mode setting to insure quality pictures in gloomy weather conditions

Something we have all been wrestling with over the years, LOL.
quality pictures in gloomy weather conditions ? I suggest using the flash as often as you can in those conditions, and get yourself a tripod.
When the skies turn grey, there's less light, so the camera keeps the shutter open longer, which means more likelihood of a blurred image due 2 camera movement. Flash use speeds up the shutter, but will use more battery power. Another issue: with 100 ASA film, the flash is only good for about 12 feet. Distance improves with higher ASA film, but quality suffers due to film grain.

Nikonos V underwater camera w/ strobe

It sounds like you'll need professional service. Even slight moisture damage can foul up the shutter or the wiring that runs from the camera to the inside of the connection port. You can remove the access plate (4 screws) above the film chamber. The 5 wires below the rewind knob (blue, yellow, purple, green, black) lead to that connector. I would also check the shutter functions on M90. See if it opens.

Fuji 35mm Camera (Model DL-400)

remove the battery and check that it is good. replace battery and open back door, close the door and it should run the motor / transport. if so, load film up to the drive sprocket being sure film will catch on the sprocket.
or move the latch holding back cover, and open the door fully. check the pressure plate on the door, gently pull the plate up a little to increase pressure on the film. bring the holding lever out toward the latch and close the door to lock the lever back to position.

There are two conditions under which a blinking "H" will appear in the
LCD panel: (1) when the film has been loaded incorrectly or (2) when the
camera's self-test process detects an internal malfunction. If a
blinking "H" indication appears, perform the following operations in
attempt to resolve the situation:

1. Rewind and remove the film using the rewind button, then remove the
battery to clear the memory.

2. Clean the contacts at the base of the battery compartment with a
clean pencil eraser to ensure proper contact between the camera and

3. Replace the battery, power the camera back up1.gif and operate it as if
it had film loaded, pressing the shutter release.

Flashing HI

there is a flexible ribbon cable carrying signals from camera body to the lense assembly. Due to regular use it gets worn out, thus it gets broken and is not able to perform the task for which the camera has given the signal. in your camera also the same flex cable is broken. Get it changed at some good repairer
