Question about Whirlpool WTW6600SW Top Load

1 Answer

Whirlpool WTW6600SB I work for a medical examiner's office. We purchased the Cabrio to wash towels and sheets. We have had it for approx 2 months now with no problems. Now recently, when you hit the power button..everything lights up like normal. Yet when you go to push the start button, nothing happens. I have tried unplugging it to reset, but to no avail. There is no fault code, and even the start button is flashing as it normally does...just no response when you push it. Help!!??

If you push the tub to any side it should not be real easy and come back to the center with some force. If the above is good you shouldn't need springs. make sure that you load it evenly

MY WHIRLPOOL CABRIO WORKS FINE ON EVERY SETTING EXCEPT THE SHEETS/TOWELS SETTING. MACHINES RUNS FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN CODES LF. I HAVE UNPLUGGED, CHECKED ALL PIPES, SREENS, DRAIN PIPES.

LF is a long fill code, taking too long for water to enter.
Is the cold water valve filter screen clean?
Is both Hot and Cold water turned on?
The LF can also be related to the pressure switches.

I just purchased my Cabrio washer...have had it a week. When I use the normal cycle, the machine does not spin the clothes at the end of it so when they cycle is done the clothes are dripping wet. I then...

I have had my Cabrio washer a little over a year. No it isn't suppose to do that. There is a setting for spinning high medium and low spin. Maybe you can change the spin setting manually. See if that works The washer is computer operated so the spinning cycle must be out on your normal cycle. I did myself a favor and I keep all clothes on towels and sheets. I set the temp for the water on what I would like manually. The washer fills up with more water and seems to clean the clothes better and My washer does the same thing from time to time about not spinning. Just remember you can set all wash manually with water temp and spin cycle. Is your washer still under warrenty?

Cabrio top load washer has ruined towels and shirts. Shreds them. Also sheets are balled up and twisted into a mess that takes time to unbind..hate this washer

Whirlpool has made a few improvements over the past few months regarding motor operation and wash issues.
  • The RPS (Rotational Position Sensor) connector design has been improved, providing a more reliable connection to eliminate the F51 error code and is available as a service kit.
  • The electronic control has also been updated for better sensing of the RPS.
  • If you have experienced problems with certain wash loads getting tangled and knotted and ruined, there is an updated washplate design intended to reduce these issues.
You should contact Whirlpool for possible repair concessions related to these issues. Phone numbers will be in your owners manual.

Hi there.

Sorry to hear this. Some washers are notorious for this. I would buy a different brand next time.

Untill something breaks - try loading the machine with a couple of towels when doing sheets - aiming to keep the drum 70% full when loaded.
It's often when there's only 1/2 load that things get unbalanced.

Hope this helps.
Richie.

Cabrio he toploader leaking on towel/sheet cycle only

It is possible that the dispenser is leaking. It is typically the left front dispenser, you may notice a puddle on the left side. ???
