I loaded quickbook pro 4 months ago. Haven't used it since. At that time I put in a couple of months of records. I would like to erase all the records that I input and start over. How can I reinitialize and start with a clean slate?

Go to the setup wizard and create a new company/business. Then you can start from the beginning.

In Quickbooks, a "File" refers to the total set of information that a company would need. It's quite an odd way of systematizing things some say. But that's the way it is.
Say Joe has three businesses: a barber shop, an advertising company, and a grocery. Joe will have to create three (3) files each corresponding to one of his businesses. That means Joe can independently configure and setup each file (or company) in Quickbooks.
