This sounds like the alignment of the red beam is off. There is usually a configuration tool in the menu that shows a white cross in the center of your TV against a black backgound (if it's aligned properly). It's a combination of the red, blue and green light bars hitting the screen. You should be able to adjust the positions of these crosshairs for each of the colors and "fine tune" your picture. Some of the higher end TV's even do a grid with over 100 crosshairs to fine tune every few inches or so. Once you get the red beam in line with the others and save the settings you should be good to go!

The bulb blew and I replaced it. Now the colour is all messed up. There isn't enough red, and way too much yellow/green. I do not have the original remote for the TV. How do I reset the colour??

the problem is that you bought a Toshiba. i have a customer who we di the same thing with. spent hundreds on a bulb and toshiba had a little surprise for us. messed colors. Tried resets etc with no luck. i've been told that is is the nice expencive colour wheel or coloor board also costing a lot. The word on the street is that this is very common and people say that thier customer care doesn't care. I think that when the bulb blows it can sometimes spike the color wheel or color board vibrates the color wheel when it blows.Perhaps all of these angry customers could dynabolt their tvs to the toshiba staffs carpark, go the the higher people in the toshiba food chain

I have a toshiba 65hm167 no red color on the screen

Your TV is a DLP one lamp does it all, not like the old projection TVs with the Red, Green & Blue CRTs. Your TV may have a bad light engine or lose cable connections.

Good luck

Toshiba 62; DLP 720P- Alot more red and green

You have probably have installed the wrong lamp or you installed a third party/off brand Lamp. If that is the case anything other than a Factory replacement Lamp will have a different color temprature. Install a Lamp that is listed from the manufacture.

Flashing in Blk,Wht, and a little color

Sounds like maybe your color wheel needs to be replaced. If you have noticed a humming noise in conjunction with the intermittent colors, then that is most likely the issue.
My 51" Vivitek started to hum loudly about 2 months ago and I kind of ignored it ,but it got so loud and annoying I had to do something.First changed the bulb and then bought a color wheel at www.vancebaldwin.com .Login as guest and then enter your model number into corresponding box. They have a few Vivitek parts.
I replaced my color wheel myself and it works great!
I'd be happy to help any way I can.
Good luck!

Toshiba 56HM195 56 in HD DLP Loud Buzzing and color distortion

If the sound, sounds more like a Hum with some vibration chances are the Cooling fan located behind the lamp is going bad, about $20 to repair, if its a high pitch hum most likely the Color Wheel and if thats the case about $30.
Good luck, my fan just went bad now seeing green dots everywhere, so debating on just junking it out or fixing it, with winter coming on might just breakdown and buy LCD and say the heck with DLP from now on.
Good luck to you..
