Question about Ace Hardware Flair II GT-504 (GT504)

1 Answer

Cursor control at the right side of the tablet is out of control

If I write at the left side of the tablet, the response is ok and the cursor is
stable, but as I go to the right side, the cursor is getting more and more out of
control and moving in a figure 8 pattern. I can even see that the LED
light at the top right corner blinking green and yellow and is not
staying at the normal green color when in use.

Tablet pen's cursor skips around in 3 places?

The cursor skipping in three places is apparently caused by the connectors inside the tablet getting dirty or corroded.
Fortunately, you can easily fix this problem yourself! All you need to do is unscrew the back of your tablet, unplug the connectors and clean them with a q-tip dipped in alcohol.
There is a video on YouTube that shows you step-by-step how to do it(it's easy!).
It's called: Howto fix dead areas on any graphics tablet and it's posted by riodroid.
Here's a link to it:

Hope this helps!

My pen for my bamboo tablet is placing the cursor one place on the tablet and and another place on he pc,what can i do to fix this?

Go to Control Panel and access the settings for the tablet: you can choose one of 2 mapping settings for the cursor:

1. Pen Mode: this is only to be chosen if the aspect ratio of the tablet matches your monitor aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9 or 16:10) and only if the size of the tablet is comfortable enough
2. Mouse mode: the pen behaves exactly like a mouse

Please check these settings and choose the one that suites best.

I have a Roll Up II digitiser with Quik Ruler when starting up, after self run test has passed it says: Press switch to relocate Menu, and it gives just a few seconds to do so, If i dont select anything it...

You may have an open line in the grid of your Roll-Up and the Quikruler can't find a good point.

Turn on your RUD II and Quikruler and let it go through the sequence and place the cursor on the RUD.

There should be numbers displayed on the QR, if you take the cursor and go from the left part of the RUD to the right and see any of the numbers disappear, than you have on open in the RUD.

Call GTCO Tech Support and ask for an RMA if you want it repaired.

Cursor restricted to top left area using graphics tablet

It's the windows 7 tablet feature that causes the problem. To solve it you have to disable it. Go to start -> search write "services.msc" (without the strokes) and hit enter. Now search for "Tablet PC Input Service" double click on it and when a little window pops up set Disabled under startup type list box. Now if you want to see effect immediately there is a button Stop, click on it, and wait until service is stopped. When done close both windows. This way you don't have to even restart your pc.

Is it possible to remove features from a tablet?

I have the bamboo fun pen also. I am currently running Windows Vista 64bit home and have the same problem. I fixed mine by going into the control options > Tablet PC Settings > Other > Go to Pen and Input Devices > Settings (Under Pen Options) Then I clicked at the top Where it states "Enable press and hold for Right-clicking". I disabled that and my pen works with no holding for the right click. I can make scratch marks all day! Hope this helps you too.

Double-Cursor to Obsolete

Is this driver certified for Vista? If it worked partially before and fails completely now, roll back to the previous driver. Compatibility is the key.

Cursor not aligned with monitor

I'm not familiar with the utility software that comes with the bamboo, myself, but I am using the Intuos3, just a bigger version.
Have a look at Start>Programs>Wacom>Tablet Properties
In here you will find all sorts of seetings and customisable features.
Your looking for 'Tablet' then 'Mapping' and maybe set for 'Full Screen' - I'm guessing it's set on portion.

You should try to replace the tip of the pen, that's how I solved it.
