Try looking in the program list for the program that starts the wireless. Click Start/Programs and look for the program that drives the wireless and open it.
Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look on both sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.
Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can toggle the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will display Wireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.
Can't display where on another monitor or tv? Did you reboot the computer after plugging in the VGA Cable. Sometimes you have to hit the FN Function Key + F1 thru F12 to get the image to display. The correct F1 thru F12 key will have CRT/LCD on it or it might have the icon of a display. Press and hold the FN function key then hit the correct F1 thru F12 Key.
The function keys (F1 through F12) are exactly that. Function Keys.
F1 generally opens a Help dialogue
F8 opens your windows startup manager when booting windows
F10/F11/F12 Can be used in some BIOS managers
These keys are dependant on what operating system you are using which will define what they do. Some OS's allow you to program these keys to open different things.
Keyboard might have gone bad. Try hooking up a external keyboard and see if they work. If they don't then you have a motherboard issue. If they do then it is a keyboard issue. If you lucky it is just a keyboard then you can get one here for 20 bucks.
