Re: Caller ID disabled on its own?

I had the same problem with my phone, so I called the service provider. They removed caller id and then re-added to my plan and that seemed to fix the problem. Hope this helps guys....

I have lost manual for Samsung blackjet sgh-1607. My phone number appears as "private number" when call somebody. I want to display my phone number to others when getting my call. please advise...

From the Home screen, press the Start softkey. Select Settings > Phone . Use the arrow keys to navigate the menu. Then select the Caller ID sub menu. You can set the phone to show or hide your phone number to everyone, no one or your contacts. Press Done to save and exit the menu.

A pdf of the manual for the BlackJack SGH-I607 is available here: . The brief description starts on page 61.

I hope this helps.

Describe your AT&T Blackberry

There are 2 places this can be set, and with AT&T, it tends to be set at the network level. Meaning to turn it off, you have to call them and request that they disable caller ID block on outgoing calls.

LG KU990 Caller ID

  • If you answer the call, the number (or number and name) stays on the display until either you or the caller hangs up.
  • If you do not answer the call, most display units keep a record of the calls received, including the phone number (or number and name), date, and time.
  • If the letter P, priv, private, or a similar term appears, the caller may have blocked the display of his or her number.
  • If the letter O, ????, out of area, or a similar message appears, the caller either is in an area that does not support Caller ID or has placed the call using operator assistance.
  • Caller ID comes with Anonymous Call Rejection, which, when active, allows you to reject calls from callers who block their number. Your phone does not ring, and the caller hears a message saying blocked calls will not go through.
    • To turn on Anonymous Call Rejection, press
      *77 on a touch-tone phone (or dial 1177 on a rotary phone)
    • To turn off this service, press
      *87 on a touch-tone phone (or dial 1187 on a rotary phone)

or go through
