Problem for Dell Dimension 8300 PC Desktop

When I installed my Windows XP Cd the sound card is being deleted

When I installed my Windows XP CD the sound card(sound driver) is being deleted and When I on or shut down my computer, I cant hear the log on sound, as well as music cannot be played video is being played bu no sound is working...Please can you solve this problem?

Your sound card drivers are being deleted? So this is a reinstall then correct?

Install the sound drivers form drivers cd which came with your Computer and then reboot it.

Hi.. Of course the sound is not working you need to install the sound driver. Load you CD motherboard driver in your CD room and install. It composed all the components of your motherboard the sound and the video display. After you install all the components it requires you to restart to take effect. Thanks for using fixya. Good luck! Did you just reinstall (or install for the first time) Windows? If so, did you install all the appropriate drivers for the system (such as sound, networking, graphics, etc.)?

first of all uninstall the sound drivers you have installed.go to support.dell.com select drivers model ,type confirm, this will take you to the driver download page.select your version of windows, if you know the sound card by name select it download or run it .

if you have bought an xp disk the chances are there will be no sound driver installed, if you have the recovery disk (or sometimes called system disk) the sound drivers should be on there, or safer still go to www.dell.com support and look for the sound drivers there, good luck

yes it is problem *********** board built in sound card audio ic i mean realtalk or soundmax digital please you buy a pci sound card such as creative or otherbrand,creative is a best sound card other brand assembling it and install driver

Go to this link: Sound driver for Dell Dimension 8300. and download the package. Install it, and reboot. There you go! Your sound is working!

You need sound driver to install.

You can downlaod sound driver for your computer from this link.
Then install in your computer.

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_8300&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
select your operating system then downlaod audio driver.
