My konka tv, about 3 years old
all of a sudden started beeping while it was turned off
it just beeps every 3 seconds and will not turn on
pushing the button does nothing, using the remote does nothing
the only thing i could do to make it stop beeping was unplug it
but whenever i plug it back in it starts the beeping again...
is my tv just dead or does something need to be replaced?
p.s. the beeping comes out of the speakers...
thanks to whoever can help me!

Decoding the number of beeps may be possible with the owner's guide but this type of problem is normally due to a failed power supply.
These are often mounted on separate boards located in the bottom of your set and can be identified by the much larger parts you see on the board and possibly its relationship to the AC cord coming in.
While these can be repaired, the cost of that will approach the cost of a new assembly.
Unfortunately, modern, more energy-efficient power supplies have some critical components that if bought cheap, don't last very long and frankly, 5 years isn't bad, I read of many dead within the first year.
That is means one of the capacitors inside the TV is bad. You can get the capacitor replaced, but it normally takes an expensive technician. We had the exact same problem with one of our tvs and the repair was 230$. If the tv is still under warranty have the manufacturer fix it. If not hire a tv repair technician. I do not reccomend fixing it yourself because it can be dangerous even fatal.
The same problem i am also facing bin last weak what i will suggest you that neverturn off ur TV by remote switch off directly from the scree from next time it will be helpful for you from next time...
Likely to have a bad high voltage transformer: white square thing with large red wire coming out and possible horizontal output transistor maybe C5148: on metal heat sink behind transformer. Must use original transformer Average cost $300.00 according to which repairman. Be sure picture was good before it went out!
