Re: charging jack

I have had NINE lg chocolates. Five of them have broken because the charging jack inside the phone snapped off, making it unable to charge. I have never been able to got mine prepared, so I habe had to replace them costing about $50. It is ridiculous that this has happened so many times and is because of the manufacturers.

Re: charging jack

I had the exact same problem and unless you know how to open up the phone and solder the connections back, which by the way are micro in size, the phone is pretty much dead. I had to take mine in and swap it out it still barely had a warranty. Try looking up a local electronics repair shop who might be able to help, good luck.

My Lg phone won't charge

I would try a different battery. Also, does the port wiggle a bit when you plug the charger in? If so then the phone is physical damage and will need to be repaired (for a cost) by LG.

"Downloading Telus now"

Seems to be a internal phone problem. Your phone is booting into the telus bootloader. Take it to the telus store and they will replace it

I would suggest to find a used or refurbished phone. Make sure the phone is from Telus, because if it isn't it will likely not work with your service.

Telus lg chocolate 8500

U never mentioned the model of the handset u r using. Anyway check the limitation of the speaker which should be 30-32 ohms. Clear the connecting points.
If the limitation is OK, then audio module is damaged.
Contact any skilled mechanic.

Battry dies

I would try either buying a new battery or cycling the battery that you have now, before spending the $200. Run the battery completely dead before re-charging it. I've seen handheld phones (this was years ago) that would shut down once the battery reached a specific voltage, which would not be low enough for the battery to lose enough charge to deplete its charge 'memory.' Many batteries will hold a charge for less and less time every charge cycle, simply because they aren't run down. When we encountered this problem, the manufacturers suggested that we hook a light bulb to the battery (we'd use a 12-volt car turn-signal bulb) and when the bulb would go out, we'd re-charge the battery, and then when it was fully charged, run it down with the bulb again. We'd do this three times, and the battery would be good for say another year or so. Hope this helps. If not, let us know.

Power jack

HUH?!!?!? ... If you take it to a Verizon corp. store it shouldn't cost no more then 50 bucks to replace so long as it's not liquid damaged and within 2 years of purchase date.

Whoever told you 200 bucks was about to pop open your phone and play bar room mechanic on it. Cell phones these days are no long the "pop open and fix em " types ... You do more damage to a cell phone opening it up and trying to fix anything. Hence why all manufacturers now just replace broken electronics ... NOT "fix them"

Hope this helps.
