Laptop does not power on

My Toshiba satellite is just 6 months old. I shut down my vista OS normally one night, and from the next day onwards, it is not powering on at all.
The LED inside the power button does not light up, and there is no signs of the HDD also booting up. I tried the AC power directly, suspecting the battery, but with no luck, it is still the same.

Can someone suggest a solution?

I have this happen to TWO satellite laptops, mine and a friend of mine. The machine will not power on, but all indicator lights show activity. Mains function light works, as well as standby indicator. Also I notice that the DVD indicator light is on continuously, but nothing else happens. Is this a Toshiba problem?

Perhaps try taking the battery completely out of the laptop for 5-10 minutes and then replacing it and trying again.

Also look to see how much the battery charges. It may be a faulty AC adapter also.

This also could help ya as will, Good Luck.Have a great evening.

My system is not working, when I press the power button, power is not coming

You are having the same charging issue that many other owners of this laptop are having. The power module where you plug in the AC adapter to the computer is defective. This is a known issue that Best Buy usually can't figure out. I sent mine back to Best Buy 4 times under warranty and they were unable to fix it.

If it's still under warranty tell them to replace that power plug circuit board or whatever it is and it will work fine. Mine has been working fine since Toshiba replaced that part 6 months ago.

Toshiba Satellite A135 laptop

Try disconnecting power adapter and removing battery for two minutes. If the laptop still does not boot then there is an hardware problem. You can try taking out and putting back ram modules, but my suggestion is to take the laptop at a repair shop, if you cannot fix it by removing battery.
