Problem for Westell Wirespeed LiteLine 6100 (B9961001002) Modem
Port forwording
I have the Westell 6100 DSL modem/router. I have a couple programs I need to port forword for. I go into the setup on the router enter all the ports, global and local. Set the ports to the computer i want but it will NEVER WORK. When I go back and look the modem says the ports are forworded. Is there a apply button or a port forword on switch i dont know about. DMZ host is off and I have tried forwording to computer name as well as IP address

Did you try port triggering instead of port forwarding?

- I have a friend who just got Verizon and they provided him with a Westell 6100 wired Modeum. He cannot connect to other people for gaming he uses a Links 2k3 Golf Game he can not Host/Join to play with others.This Modeum was manufactured for Verizon.
the ports we tried to port -forwarding and can't get all the Globle ports put in
the ports are 2300-2400, 6073-6073, 47624-47624

ok port forward if any has router this is easy ill get too others in momment
routers port forwarding features type in ip address in internet explorer search bar at top
router ip's start like this 192. type the whole ip in
this will ask you for password and that usually is the word "password" or "admin" threw that you can set the router port forward by going down the list
now for comps with out routers
goto control panel
then network connections
right click on your connection
goto properties
goto advanced
goto settings
you will be directed to windows fire wall
goto exceptions add program or port you want to forward
basically port forwarding is a program that keeps 2 comps from having conflict with each other running the same program and helps in monitoring ports for intrussions
