Re: Phone batteries

Take your phone to a radio shack store and ask them to change the batteries for you. They do this for no charge except the cost of the batteries. Tell them to show you how to open the phone.

Unable to get memory to save numbers on BT Big Button 100

I know this will sound pretty basic, but here goes. 1) Verify the batteries are properly inserted in the phone. 2) verify you are using the proper procedure to save the numbers, this can be found in the manual that came with the phone. 3) return the phone to the place of purchase because the phone is bad.

Corded Vtech CD 1261 WT, LCD suppose to light up when in use?

I just bought this phone thinking the picture would match the actual phone. No it doesn't light up, and you have to wonder what the energy of 4 batteries is doing besides powering a dim numerical read-out. false advertising at it's worst. most frustrating.
    don't buy.

New batteries does not mean GOOD BATTERY.
    Did you test the replacements?
There are batteries that come with a tester in the package. A small sheet of paper with a color coded bar to tell you much like a pregancy test, if the battery is good, before you leave the store.
Never use a new battery after insertion without a full 12 or more hour charge from your phone charger. The batteries are good enough to draw dial tone when new but have been setting in that package for a long time and NEED the initial rebirth charge.
    Hope this helps.
