  • Starbird Dec 06, 2007

    Yes, that is correct.
No error messages after it turns on again.... just the normal messages that appear then you shut down as if the electrisity is missing and you don't use the battery :-(

Make sure power button isnt stuck in slightly, failing that the switch on the board itself maybe faulty, in which case you may need to take ot to someone to take apart and check it out, until then you can just un-plug batery and power cord when your not using it, until you can take it to someone

its a little hard to diagnose an exact fault and then in turn a solution without more info.. the laptop works fine, until you try and turn it off, which results in it shutting down, then simply turning on again? is this correct? is there any error message on boot after it turns on again?

unfortunately there could be a number of reasons, i suggest taking it to a tech there and getting them to actually have a look on the board and test the switching, might be as simple as the wires to the switch on the board eathing together and causing it to turn on again..

If it works normally in Safe Mode, that is the place to run antivirus checks in depth, and also use Malwarebytes AV. Do updates for these before running.

I suggest to reinstall the OS. During the installation process, format the existing system drive/partition/volume and install the OS again. This will fix any software problems or corrupt files. If there are hardware issues, you'l know that when you reboot the machine to log into your account.

Hello. Please help me...when I turn on the monitor after 2 or 3 seconds its turn off...It shows me the ACER log and then turn off I see a black screen...but de led is ligthing like normal funtion (green)....

Did you replace the whole set of caps in the secondary DC power supply side? Bad caps can look normal but can have high ESR. See example of what happen when not all the caps in the DC side are not replaced: http://www.fixya.com/support/t5220798-three_hp_1702s_all_flicker

But again you may have problem in the inverter driving circuits such as bad IC or transistors, transformers, etc. Do you get all the 5vdc and the 12~16vdc?
Model number will help. Please post back.

Turn on computer comes up to windows page with no pass words

It sounds like it might be getting to the user accounts and not being able to log in. I would start by going into safe mode--> Right before the windows splash screen comes up, start pressing the f8 key. Then when it gives options, choose safe mode. If it gets to the user screen this means its either something in your startup, or the user account files.

Once in safe mode, you can select the administrator account, and create a new user account, to see if you reboot to normal mode and it lets you log in as the other user.
